Now Stelzig played something like 32 minutes, but Wulle not even a single minute. Who played as PF the missing 16 minutes?

Gniech played the other 16 minutes.

okay, I understood it so far, thanks for your brief explanation :)
but I´d just like to know why Wulle didn´t play a single minute, although I set him as backup PF (and Gniech played instead)

upon closer inspection of our algorithm we discovered a bug.. and depth charts were not being taken into account till the end of the game.... this is fixed now in the latest game engine.

I like the whole idea very much, but I still think there is something missing. It's happening quite often with me me and some friends that we have a good player that in the middle of the game ends up going to another position, and then he gets stuck there because nobody is better then him to replace him, and then he never goes back to his original position, in which he is much better.

I think one solution would be to add a feature to allow us to set in which positions each player can play. For example the options could be: PG, SG, G (PG/SG), G/SF, SF, PF, F (SF/PF), C, PF/C, F/C.

Another (more simple) way, would be to establish that as a rule in the game, by position, and not specificaly by player. For example, a player put in one position in the "set orders", will be able to play only on this ones:
PG: PG / SG / SF
SG: PG / SG / SF
SF: SG / SF / PF
PF: SF / PF / C
C: PF / C

Still following all the same engine already working, just including this restraints. Just a suggestion..

Does it have to be one or all? One of my SG fouled out and a C replaced him even though I had another SG that could play.

I think the problem we were having was in the "complete depth chart" part...

For example, in one game my starting shooting guard fouled out early (after 17 minutes!!) and my back-up SG was a horrible player. I had no reserve for SG, cause I wanted only those 2 guys to play as SG. But then I guess the game engine considered my depth chart incomplete and looked for another player that could fit in the reserve SG position that was blank. And that way, instead of my horrible backup SG, my starting Center(that was resting in that game as a Reserve center) ended up playing 28 minutes as a SG.

So I guess what we have to do is to always submit the depth chart complete, with no blanks. The trick to order only 2 players to rotate in one position is to repeat the name of one in the reserve position, or to put any scumbag as a reserve, but never leave it blank.

Nice idea...I'll try submitting a depth chart where I have the same name for one position(1st-3rd). Or maybe have my starter in the reserve spot and a different player for the backup.
