But IRL people do get injured, the same way that players do get suspended. It's part of the game.

IRL their is no transfer market and they trade.
Trading is a bad idea for BB and so is Suspensions.

This could be a good idea. But, keep in mind that an NBA season is 82 games long. A BB season is 22 games. A 1 game suspension would be realistic and not overly punitive. Anything beyond that hurts your training development and your league standing too much. I would suggest also that the suspension is only served in a league or Cup game. If the suspension is earned in a League game, then they would miss the next League game. If the suspension is earned in a Cup game, then they would miss their next Cup game. Missing a scrimmage is not really punitive.

I would also suggest that a team only ever have one suspended player at a time. Realism is good, but let's not impede game play too much.

Instead of four months.
4 months in BB is 1 and 1/3 seasons.

That tall forward I really needed for the game got suspsended for two games for ... Can you tell me the reason? Maybe this is a fine time to add "Will Chow is in the stands!" A thing that helps us realize why the player was suspended.

Suspensions could work similar to injuries ...

I'm always in favor of trying to think up improvements to the game. However, there are already too many injuries, so this would be a step in the wrong direction.

the background for an in game suspension already exist in BB in the form a the---flagrant foul----, if a player commits a flagrant he should at least sit for 5 mins, then if he commits another in the same game then he gets thrown out and suspended the next game.

if a player also commits a foul that leads to a fouled player getting injured then the fouling player should get the same lost minutes/games/weeks that the injured player gets

Personally I'm not into this idea at all. I know suspensions are just as realistic as injuries, but we have to remember this is a game and it's supposed to be fun. I would bet quite a bit of money that when most managers have a player that get's injured, they're probably not thinking how fun this injury feature is but rather cursing BB for potentially tampering with their training, upcoming games, or even season for that matter. Some people have had long lasting plans and goals they have been working towards for seasons and in my opinion it doesn't seem worth it to have an injury or suspension tamper with these goals. Most of the time injuries are just something that have to be dealt with, but I can recall a time in my past when an injury right before the championship game kept me from advancing to D.2. Some might just call this tough luck but the way I see it injuries are just a pointless feature in the game that may make it more realistic but no one really enjoys or would care if they were removed all together. Suspensions would really be no different.
