The only thing I do, is make sure I play a slow offence. I can't really expect the same from an opponent but I hope they do the same. Less possessions mean less chance of injury.

Also, no use of zones ever.


I also always play a slow offense but I thought that zones would reduce injuries so I play zone. Wrong assumption?

Most injuries occur on offensive players getting fouled, so playing a zone would not help you reduce injuries. Zone just determines who guards what shot.

I wouldn't necessarily say you're wrong. I just find that for me, using zones causes more fouls, and fouls cause injuries. Yes they'd be the other team's injuries, but I'd not want to injure someone's player in a scrimmage and I'd hope they'd not want to cause one for me.
