Well, that guy is already at $30k with five more hours to go, so he certainly isn’t going to come in at $14k or even $20k.

So … the next five advanced trainers are Teodoro Galeano, salary $13k, bid $76,600 … Enzo Salvo, no starting bid yet but salary $22.9k … Rafael Cantillano, salary $11.9k but bid already $107,200 (specialty: Fitness) … Holger Hammerstad, salary $24.2k … Jason Buil, salary $15.8k, bid $31k (Career Extension).

There is a guy with salary $12.7k and no bid yet, I’ll try him.

Keep in mind that training doesn't happen until Friday and that you'll pay the salary on Monday if you find a deal, so it'll definitely pay to be patient.

True enough. But so far no deals with the desired parameters have presented themselves, so it is tempting to disregard the day of the week if one should appear.

There will be a lot of variation. You missed three this afternoon who all had salaries below 13k who sold for $29k, $45k and $7k. The trainer who sold for $7k actually had the lowest salary - and was grabbed by a guy who had been in a bid war for the one who went for $45k. The bidding war on the one guy kept pushing the end time back and eventually overlapped with the third trainer. At that point, one of the guys made the jump over, while the other ended up losing out to a new bidder who came in with a bid that jumped to $45k from $30k.

The other thing to remember is that you can keep a advanced trainer for two seasons pretty easily, since the salary only goes up 1.75% per week. And if you are only replacing a trainer every 25-35 weeks, it can easily be worth it to spend $40k, $50k or more to get one with a low salary to start. Not a large sum of money even to a US DIV team.

It's nice that some of you could pick up an outlier. However, newbies better understand the difference between the outliers you describe and the more usual case, where the bidding goes to $40k - $50k for most advanced trainers with salaries under $13k, and sometimes quite a bit higher. Then they can decide how patient they can be, how much of their life they can give up to sit at the computer to get a BB trainer, and how much under the average cost will please them. Shooting for an advanced trainer with salary under $13k at a cost of $1k is a good way to get down on the whole game and leave. Lower level coaches will also find competent trainers at a MUCH lower price, and you're not likely to see the difference in their effects.

Oh, and I am sure some posts will follow about your good fortune picking up an outlier, so congrats to all of you in advance.
