So, if I use LCD and my player have almost 98 minutes on field, then he may not be in the starting lineup, am I right?

Wrong. LCD doesn't account for past minutes, the coach decides by himself who he wants to field.

Just to make it clearer: while minutes played during previous games do not influence the coach's decisions in any substitutions setting, when using LCD, the starting lineup set by the manager (if he sets one) still has a significant impact on the substitution decisions. How much each one of your players will end up playing in that setting is not nearly as predictable as in SFDC, though.

This changed recently though. From two seasons age (I think), LCD will not necessarily field the same starters you put in the depth chart, making it a truly coach ruled substitution tactic.

If that's how it was intended to work, it is not working properly then. The way I described it to be still applies to current matches.

LCD was completely coach-ruled and still is - even though it has become inefficient in many ways - only when coupled with the good ol' blank lineup.

LCD is not a magic wand that will make all the best decisions at all times. If it was, everyone would be using it all the time and there would be no fun setting the lineups. It is imperfect, but it had changed slightly lately and that's all I wanted to point out. The effectiveness of the tactic is a whole other matter.

I ran a couple tests on LCD lately to see what it would do with a reversed lineup (C at PG, PF at SG, etc...) and reserves swapped with starters. Not only did all of the starters start as assigned, but the coach never deviated from the depth chart, and the inferior starters still played more minutes than the superior reserves. I was surprised.
Are you saying that it is still possible for LCD to sometimes deviate from the depth chart?

I'm not saying that it will happen at all times, just that it has been reported as such in this forum, as a bug. I may be mistaken though as it would take some digging to make sure.

Hello,

I can't make changes to my lineup for 2 straight days, it says: "Oops! Something went wrong with your request". Also last game my 3 starters got injured in first 3 minutes i don't think that's a bug but still.

Thank you.
