Late first round update!

Today's game is Canada U21 (4-0) against Paraguay (3-1) at 8pm EST.
Called up for today: Nigel Guèvremont (36843447) -- 20 yo, great training by Sparky!
Busch, a 10x6 skilled guard is off the team for the season. Poor game shape.
Zhongkai, our starting PG, is now GS 6 and in danger of sitting out rest of season. No contact from manager.
Game shape on average has been great. GS9 x7, GS8 x4, GS7 x3 this week. Slightly worse than last week.

Managers of trainees 18-20 should have gotten/will be getting ASG week communication this week! Check your BBmail, or feel free to write me anytime with questions/comments/pop updates/NBA playoff picks/whatever.

As Canada dips below 200 managers (gasp!) we really have to maximize the great trainees we do get from the draft.
Thanks!

Doesn't a cut player cost enthusiasm?
And Busch is about to be sold (April 7) so his GS will probably improve

Of course. Didn't cut anyone.
Busch wasn't on the team to begin with as his minutes were being watched at the start of the season.
Zhongkai will stay on roster but will go unused if his manager keeps neglecting him.

The second round of Americas has begun. We got off to a great start with a win vs. Chile (37162) with less effort.
I saw them as not our biggest competition in the group, and we need to use more enth elsewhere. If we couldn't beat Chile with less effort this game then we don't deserve to/won't go to the semis anyways.
Falconer had his weakest game with U21, and MacHendry fouled out, but we still got it done. Cockayne 23 pts, 19 rebs led the way. We also were excellent at the line except for Ricci who went 0/4.
Upcoming with have Brasil, Bahamas, Uruguay, Mexico.

Well, we got robbed tonight. Tied it with 9 seconds left, then got called fouling on a 3 as time expired.

Got GDP +2, team ratings should have won, but what can you do. Even went 3-2 zone to stop outside shooting AND STILL out rebounded them 60-41.

Tonight's game pretty meaningless. Brasil isn't going to lose and we are 80+ points up on 3rd with a win in hand. So, save enth and pencil us in for that semi vs USA. That Brasil loss really stung.

12 minutes until we take on the big bad USA. This feels like a Cleveland vs Toronto matchup right now haha.

Either we move on to worlds, or I'll be scouting the season ending skills of all our 18-20 year olds tonight!

Stop by the game viewer and say hi eh?

Another terrible end to our U21 season.

Up 2. 11 seconds. With the ball. 2 FT missed. USA scores, game goes to OT, and they slaughter us in the extra frame.

Great season. Thanks to all the hard work put in by our trainers. You did an excellent job in forming a pretty good bunch this year from what you had to work with.

I look forward to seeing how all our 18-20 year olds are coming along and what we can expect with next season's squad heading into the world repechage round.

I am about 80% through the 20 year olds so far.

I am very encouraged by what I am seeing training-wise. We are starting to step it up for sure.

I'll post # of pops with player, manager, and team names when done so our trainers can bask in forum glory.
