Injuries are not necessary in real life either, but they do happen. Also, injuries are one of the few things that make this game unpredictable, so I would definitely not want to see them removed.

You still could train FT-shooting or stamina. 3weeks during the season suck nonetheless.

if anything, this game needs more injuries - even season ending injuries...how realistic is it that leagues have minimal injuries every season?

We need high potential players being injured for seasons (like Derrick Rose and Joel Embiid)...this will force managers to spend more money on the TL for better doctors and increase the number of players bought on the TL

I say we do this. I'll take a 18-22 year old, BB version of prime-MVP, Derrick Rose -- even with season ending injuries. I wouldn't mind drafting a Shaq/LBJ player that could dominate right away, either. However, to be fair, for every Shaq there should be a Greg Oden.

Could you imagine the look on the face of a manager whose drafted a 6K, A+, ATG Greg Oden (with a career ending injury, freshly drafted). Priceless.

Injuries suck big time and should not exist in this game, doctors help to avoid them, though. I always have a doctor level 5 and usually i get an injury of 1 week per season in average (rough estimate). Of course the injury last season stroke in the playoff finals, i had to play the whole final series without my starting SF, glad i made it apart from that, if it was some other more important player and i had lost i would have probably abandoned the game.
I have a level 4 for my utopia team and injuries happen a bit more often but nothing that had left me completely outraged. At least not yet. So if you don't have a decent doctor hire one, it's the only thing you can do to avoid those stupid and demotivating injuries (because, you know, the number of managers of this game is increasing week by week, you shouldn't care if managers demotivate, let the injuries destroy their plans and piss them off).

It debatable whether they do or not. I've seen long injuries even with level 5 and 6 doctors. I have a level 4 and I got a 2 week injury to a trainee in the scrimmage on Thursday.

Most people are under the impression that the frequency of injuries is lower with better doctors, but it's impossible to quantify without a massive statistical study. I think the BBs might just come out and say what the difference really is such as -x% chance of injury, -x% chance of injury being longer than 1 week etc.
