While I like the idea it will be hard to implement due to the differing amounts of money new teams get due to their league's income. For example a new team starting in Div II will earn more than new one starting in Div IV.

I think the only way for new teams to play at a competitive level is creating a bubble for them until they are strong enough to survive when that bubble bursts.

But, a new user is a new user. I think that the money issue isn't a big deal. An extra arcade game for 7 weeks (for instance) won't be a problem. The target is help to the new users. One game where nothing else matters only for learning purposes.

They already have that in the form of a scrimmage. I think they need to be competing for something meaningful but actually have the chance of winning it. The only way to get this is against users that are around the same level as they are as playing against bots is not good for anyone.

The scrimmage counts for training and game shape. There are risk for injuries. So it isn't "nothing to lose"...

Thanks for saying your opinion especially as you are the type of user this suggestion is targeted to.

However dumping a player after a week is a bit harsh. One of the great things about BB is that it is not too demanding and you can be flexible about when you log on.

That would be an interesting stat to see. I think you are probably correct in saying that. Maybe there could be some sort of money reward for users who log in regularly for the first few months
