There are updates that run between matches which affect fans which take into account things that happened long ago or have calculations that fluctuate over time, so even with no direct interventions from your side, it is actually quite normal to have fluctuations in attendance.

it's also nice to note that, when a deterministic system is complex enough, some sort of casual behaviour can happen!
