I don't think he expects the player to assist all that much.

look you have to consider you opponents defense

if your strategy and player skill couldnt catch up to their defensive matchup then i probably no matter how many passes your pg makes only a certain amount goes in.

remember if your team has a number of good passers it also makes the assist lower because your moving the ball more

just because the game engine doesnt inddicate the passing as often as it does doesnt mean your pg aint passing the ball

trust me, your guys are doing their best they just cant that open often as much

good point....yeah....so that brings the question, should you pump up JS on your main PG to dilute his passing skill?

indeed, if this PG can't find any players with better shooting skills than his own, he might decide to fire the ball himself instead of passing it away...

We see similar things in these cases:
players with decent jump shot but bad passing tend to take a lot of shots in games.
players with decent passing and poor jump shot tend to have more assist then the PG in a game, unless the PG himself also has poor jump shot and good passing...

The weird thing is that there are players on the the team that are as good at shooting as he is. Another thing is that I always have a good offensive flow. It's funny. Minimal amount of assists yet a good offensive flow.

this looks perfectly normal to me.

he can pass as well as shoot, he has a few other payers he can pass the ball to that also can shoot. So he gives some assists, and he scores some himself... In 24 minutes he can just shoot and pass a limited amount of times ofcourse.
Should there be no other players with good shot, he's probably average between 0 and 1 assist on average, should he not be able to shoot himslef, he'd end up with more than 4 assists on average, probably 7 or 8 in 24 minutes.

It is also normal that the offensive flow is good if you have a balanced point guard that can shoot as well as pass the ball, should he only be able to shoot, it would be easy for the defenders to double team him, or should he only be able to pass, they don't need to guard him that good... So this also makes sence.
HOWEVER! in this game it has not so much to do with it. Offensive flow is calculated on the handling and passing from more players then just your PG, so it depends on the players'passing and handling skills you put in your roster, and has nothing t do with the actual assists your team produces in the game.

actually 4 assist a game isnt bad already,

if your basing stats by means of average he should get then we have somewhat mis-understanding. because even if you have a bloody hell steve nash like passer but your team offensive skills aint up to the level wherein it needed to be in a game youll struggle.

dont event think he should be having 8 or 10 or 12 assst even with proficient or prolific.

in the nba, there are only a number of pgs who can average double digits in assist namely nash, baron davis, etc and some can but doesnt go on regular basis like jason kidd, jason williams look at him when his memphis and to miami

aside from the basics of strategy we must also see the players itself running the plays.

also for a nba stand point a pg who averages 6 assist per game is already consider above normal, especially on a fantasy stand point of view.
