I think this is relevant to the thread and not a hijack but if you disagree, I apologize.

What exactly does IS consist of? Only dunks and layups? or any shot within 5 feet? If it is more than dunks and lay ups then how do Jump Shot and Inside Shot work out together? I understand Jump Range affects the depth of the jump shot so I would think that alone would determine if a player is more likely to hit shots closer to the basket.

Let me know if my question needs to be clearer.

I've always considered it this way, though I could be completely wrong:

Jump Range -- Essentially 3 point shooting.
Jump Shot -- Standard Jump Shots, outside of the key.
Inside Shot -- post up shots and PF/C dunks.
Driving -- layups and PG/SG dunks.

i see driving as an additional Skill, to create your shot so you need it together with JS +JR or Inside Shot.

I you shoot in the 2 Point area, it is lot JS and a bit JR, outside shoots needs both.

SOmetimes i believing that IS and JS make better shots near basket, but mmh idon't know :)

Driving is used by all types of players as is inside shot. The only one that doesn't seem to be used by every player, in my experience is jump range.

In my opinion, I believe that Inside Shot is dunks and layups because I have a SG with respectable Inside Shot and he seemsto score a lot of points off dunks. Obviously the same is true with my post players.
I believe that Driving is used by all players to get open for their own shot whether it is from the perimeter or from the post and whether it is to drive for a 3 or a dunk.
