defense in general you should consider what the role of the player's position is for that kind of tactic, the effect of tactics is position-dependent I believe.
My question is if I run a 2-3, 3-2, or 1-3-1 Since their all zone defenses: When considering defense in the game will my small men's OD defense weigh in more heavily because they are suppose to stay outside while with a Man 2 Man both their ID and OD defense matter more evenly because they have to trail their corresponding position around the court.
That may sound confusing but the gist is do the different defensive tactic change how heavily the Game engine weighs your players inside and outside defenses at all positions.
To help and the reason I asked this:
http://buzzerbeater.dnsalias.org/team.cgi?teamid=28779 If you look at my defensive ratings half way down the one time I ran a 2-3 all my players efficiency went up. (Given that I only ran it once so the data could be very easily skewed)
Edit: This was on the news page
Zone defense currently takes the entire team ratings into account much more strongly than man-to-man, but when assigning fouls etc. still picks the individual defender. Zone defenses will actually behave like zones for individual matches as well.
