As a new player I really don't feel I've got the hang of TIE/normal/CT in BB at all yet.

For most of the games I've played (the last few before the playoffs, and now playoffs) I've left the guys on normal. In my playoff semi-final I switched to CT and it worked, getting me through to the final by five points against an opponent who I am sure also went with CT. Then, of course, I was low in enthusiasm for the first finals game, and lost.

I'm guessing that several of my games in the regular season I could have risked TIE. But how does everyone assess when that is worth the risk? Against all bot teams? Against teams with players of a certain wage below your own? Or against teams you've beaten in the first half of the season? Or do players do TIE against the really good teams, knowing they're going to lose anyway.

What strategies for accumulating enthusiasm through TIE seem to work well?

Thanks,

Nick

TIE the first few games untill the enthusiasm is high. with high enthusiasm and TIE your team will perform quite good. then you can play normal attitude in some important games. but in the regular season TIE should be the "normal" choice.

That's extremely risky in a tough league.

I couldn't get away with that in the NBBA most of the season.

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

You were playing TIE as a strategy to survive in the NBBA then?

Pretty much. It was my first season up and I just wanted to finish in at least 5th place.

For the most part I alternated between TIEs and normals.

Hey, that was my strategy! Finish at least 5th, anything more is a bonus.
