hi fella's,
got a question aswell here.
i scouted a guy with this info:
2 balls, D+, 18, 4 pot balls...
now usually, i take all the 1 and 2star guy's out, and i check them below.
after that, i take all 3 star guy's, who've been scouted twice, and don't have either a C+ or don't ahve 3 star rating, and i put them down aswell...
then i orden whatever i have left, first 18 year olds, then 19 year olds...
the question is, where do i fit this guy in? his boxscore:
SG 20 min played, 5-8 FG, 1-1 3FG, 1-1 FT, 1 OR, 4 TR, 3 Ast, 1 TO, 2 Stl, 2 BLK, 1 PF, 12p
his boxscore ain't bad at all... yet the only thing troubling me, is his 2 ball rating and D+ in skils rating...
any idea's what to do with a guy like that?
thx
Rev
Well Obviously, You well want to rank him higher then the "2/1 ball potential prospects" and maybe even some 3 star 3 potentials depending on their Grade (higher or lower to D+) ... I well try and evaluate your prospect to the best I can.
He's young and has 4 potential... that's his upside! and it's definitely worth putting him above any one under 3 star Potential or 2's star's with 3 potential.
On the down side he's a 2 star prospect with a D+ grade... that probably means his potential is going to be at the lowest possible for the 4 potential prospects (all-star)... Because the grade has some what of an effect on the potential in my opinion and resent draftee's. and yes he may have 4 potential but a 2 star athlete well also take longer to train up since he will have many lower skills. so keep that in consideration when you are placing him over other prospects in the "draft edit list"
And for the record... how the prospect's perform (remember it's Just ONE game!) in the box scores has nothing to do with the players skills/Potential... I've seen a 2 ball prospect with 1 potential pull off a 29 pt game and so on... but yet he was still an awful pick... people who pick by box score results often get disappointing results and a poor athlete to go with it =p
the best way I can explain is like this...
In a Scrimmage I had ...I started a PG with 2k salary and he's an awful all around player but yet he still had a 20 point game with 6 assist but that doesn't change the fact that he sucks lol ... It was just one game and he played well that game for what ever reason.
hope you make the right choices, Good luck Mod-Revo!
