You're telling me. I tanked this game against Ron Swanson thinking I might be able to walk away with a victory despite putting Paul Wiles, a PF, at PG. We got stomped. Certainly not a representation of what my team is capable of but after CT'ing against the Bangerz, I needed to TIE this game to regain Game Shape.

Second Team:
Clown Cafe
10/23/10
Challengers at Goats: I'm sure the TV network was thrilled to have to broadcast this game. Only by Challengers resting their starters in the 4th did this game look as close as it was. 83-52 Challengers
champaign at VDs: Arguably the best game of the night despite VDs lower attitude for the game. The broadcasters were probably welcoming those viewing the Challengers/Goats game before the end of the first quarter of that game. VD's superior outside D proved the difference. 94-85 VDs
Ron Swanson All-Stars at No Potential: All-Stars inside play brought home the bacon tonight as they slowly built a lead that NP couldn't come back from. 91-68 RSAS
E.C. High-Flyers at Cleveland Crazya: The High-Flyers got 24 points from SG Abbondanza in an otherwise scoring battle in the paint. 93-82 High-Flyers
Tachenko at TDX Dutchmen: 1 against 8, what can I say? 94-35 Dutchmen.
1Derz Bangerz at oaznp: Despite the slow start, Bangerz outstanding forward play carried them to an easy road victory. 119-88 Bangerz
Marietta Magic at Red Terrors: The Terrors exploded for 43 in the last stanza to erase a 4-point deficit to the delight of the home crowd. 133-122 Terrors
Prov City Investors at Michigan Blasters: ... 129-30 Blasters No, that's not a typo. One twenty-nine to thirty Blasters.

Goats didn't even put their best five on the court, deciding that they just didn't want to exhaust our stars in a losing effort, choosing to give them rest for their upcoming match against the Investors and our next Cup match. Right now, finances are the biggest driver this season. We're not even aiming for the championship game, rather instead just focusing on time management and training my two newest bigs so I can finally dump Candia and maybe Partridge ... or sell them when they are good and ready.

I'm slowly - very slowly - inching towards putting butts in all the seats. I might have to decrease my emphasis on the Cup this year for the sake of competing in every league game, winning more games and ultimately making the playoffs. The extra 50k a week is nice but getting a full house is more important in the long run. Last season I cost myself in that regard by punting some league games for the Cup's sake. Cost me fans, wins and the playoffs.
