I completely agree with Manon on this, rebounding takes up a bit of cap space too on guards and that's annoying. I've recently spent close to a million on a 6'3'' trainee and he has 7 RB which is higher than what I wanted but his other skills allowed me to brush that aside and build him as a good SG. Now don't get me wrong, I love my forwards and C rebounding but I personally think it's a waste of time on guards as repeating what Manon said, it adds a lot of salary when salary does increase. Valid point for your reasoning though, that's the beauty of the game too, different managers having different ideas.

I am currently training a PF. I feel that rebound is pretty important, especially for the NT as the opponents don't let everything in, and a couple of OR or DR are pretty neat.
His current status is
12 8 11 - 14 14 11 - 16 15 17 13
Hopefully there is still some capspace for an additional JS/DR/IS. Gonna try anyway.

Hmm.. I agree rebounding is nice to have but even if they keep shooting and your ID and SB is good enough so they miss, you'll eventually grab the rebound. I definitely don't think RB should be higher than IS or ID, I'd rather have 18 ID and 14 RB, than 16 ID and 16 RB.

No need to push range, no need to train PA until he is 26+! Study your team. The rest should be your decision.

I wholeheartedly agree and my line of thought is that you should punt some skills and had the others at elite level. So to me a guy with 9/18/13/18 or 20/20/11/6 are more appealing than a 15/15/14/13 player (secondaries being equal). It requires a bit more strategy and effort in getting and using pieces that fit together so that you can hide the lower level skills.

Why is OD so important for PF, what about having low OD?
