I'm looking at Sanardo and his drop is more in the range of 40-45%, Madremanya didn't have as big a boost to start with last season. Seems that the promotion boost is pretty large and when it's gone, the drop is, as your colleague said, confusing. As I already told him, the alternative is to reduce the boost, but I don't think anyone would like that.

About Sanardo, I take the point where the miscalculation arose (2017/2/25). From the beginning the drop is bigger, but we have to keep in mind the previous results, -2017/2/18: 12795 fans, -2017/3/4: 12039 fans(relegation), -2017/3/18: 11372 fans..... for me... not much more than a 10 % drop.

I'm looking at revenue, something that is more accurate. Seems like he might have changed ticket prices so there is that factor too.

Sorry for double posting, just ignore either this post or the other at your leisure.
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/276019/arena.aspx

I promoted by winning the league and I got 9k tickets in the 1st game (against my rival) and an average of 14.4k in the next 2 games. That's 249.8k gates compared to an average of 351k in the next 2 games, so more than $100k difference. In percentages my attendance was 37.5% lower and gates were 30% lower.

Was I accidentally boycotted despite winning 24 games and the league last season?

Denek Bat Baiona who is my rival, who didn't promote by winning his league and was my opponent in my 9k tickets game has experienced no visible drops:

I replied to your BB-mail.
Thanks. A bit disappointed that an unexplained blip cost me $100k, but I'll make do without it. :)

how about today's match? attendance fell without a reason.

I mean the system clearly needs a crack down. do you guys honestly plan on taking actions?

The first game of the season is always the lowest attendance for teams that had a great previous season. The reason for this is that the promotion boost doesn't seem to kick in properly and some of the variables that you had worked up quite high last season are reset and dropped to their default values. After a match or two, they bounce back. Not ideal behaviour, I agree.

There are a number of factors that affect attendance, and your drop is barely noticeable. It might be due to the fact you sold a player before, but other things might have an effect too.

The fan survey and attendance code is constantly being improved on, but as any complex system, it's hard to anticipate (and prevent) all situations.

I understand it is complex but it should follow a logic though.

I did not have any drops after I sold a player but I had it this game, right after the ASG, and I feel like there is always some sort of (unplanned) drop in spectators' "enthusiasm" because of the FS update on Wednesday without any games being played.

Plus, it comes right after I got the lead in my league and if that does not fans... well, it is honestly weird.

Ultimately, I do not know if it takes into effect the hardness of the conference but it might be a good idea starting to consider it in both attendance calcs and weekly revenues for merch and TV contract as calculating them for the whole league is reductive since half of the teams in the other division in my league are constantly being reassigned and they have it easier than us in the league and can spend less during the season, bolster rosters in the last part of the season and even get to PO with higher TS... a fair system should take this into account, imho.
