Season 48 - D3.2. I had a second place team with the league MVP. Lost in the first round when he got injured in minute 3. One of only 2 injuries he's had in his whole career.

So I know that things do happen. But a wise man said you are what your record says you are. And there are 2 teams that have been consistently better than the rest.

Season 33 NBBA, had the best record in the league, came in winning my final 10 games of the year. Felt like this was my year. Got to the conference championships against GM Jason, a team I had beaten twice already but also knew Upsyndrome awaited me in the finals. Another team I had beaten but knew he’d be very very tough. So I TIE’d because feeling I had HCA and the better team that I could hold off Jason and storm into the finals with a enthusiasm advantage. I didn’t hold off Jason. He as expected CT’d but also surprised me playing 3-2 and guessed my outside based offense, which I had spent the season purposely making it seem like I was an inside based team, and stole a 7 point win. With narrow margin for errors, records and past results are meaningless in a 1 game scenario.

Damn! I learned that lesson, too. Never overlook the first guy to get to the next guy.

No offense but I am going to be glad to be demoted from this powerful league. Hopefully see you cats down the road when more training has taken hold. Good luck to all..It's been fun.

I drop a prolific low IS in D3 and lose. What a war. Congrats Lightning, great game.

To be fair, he dropped a prolific Outside Offense

I'm glad to hear y'all say that this league is tough (mostly the Great 8). I was worried that I might relegate and now Im thinking that that wouldn't be such a bad idea....

I know! His outside offense is good for a D2 team.

30 - 7 in fouls????????? God damn this game is such a joke sometimes. Why do I even try when shit like that is going to happen.
Edit: 47 - 6 free throw difference?? If I was the coach I would have been thrown out of the game for berating the refs holy fucking shit. It's not even that I lost but we played the same offense / defense and he shoots 41 more free throws?? its just how I lost like in what world does that make sense in a zone defense.

I was going to say something about that. 47 FT is a lot. Especially when both teams play run and gun.

My team has racked up a lot of FT on a couple of occasions. But usually that happens at the end of a game when the other team is fouling to save clock. Plus I think inside scoring draws more fouls.

Must have been Scott Foster and Tony Brothers officiating that game. That's all I can think.
