If one week there is no demand for a player with a certain amount of skills and the next week there is enormous demand

where in real economy this may be possible, in BB it is not.

as all teams try to improve all the time they are constantly looking for better players. As there are always teams with prety bad players and less bad, and average, and better, and good, and so on. All players except the least good on the TL will always be wanted...

any one player in BB will never go up or down that much from 1 week to the next. There is no such thing as a player that is not wanted this week, and very sought after the next.
Either a lot of teams are interested, or the player is not interesting to anyone. This won't change over a week, not even a month...

what i meant by 2-400k was 200 thousand to 400 thousand, 2 thousand - 400 thousand.

this is a very confusing sentence.

anyway. If you are able to buy a player who is realy worth 200k to 400k, for 10k; then there is no problem with selling him for his real value afterward. I doubt you will be able to though, but in case it does happen, no problem.

Is this typical for the estimated price range or is something not working properly? This player was purchased for 5000 a few days ago and he was immediately relisted, and the low end of his range is still 90000.

I think a good change to the TL would be if a player has been transferred recently(2 weeks maybe), that transaction is displayed instead of the estimated range. I know this info can be found with a click, but as a newer player I never thought to look for it until reading this thread.

Edited to remove player card link. He's on the TL

You're ignoring 2 random factors which can lead to price fluctuation: random mechanics(injuries and skill downs on older players), and the human factor(caffeine fueled bidding wars). Those factors won't make say, a $5k salary player go for more than a $10k salary player, but they can definitely make a player go for more than other players with the same salary usually go for, if there happen to be 2 playoff teams with injuries and cash to spare. Not to mention if one person takes the time to figure out the peak hours for activity, they can get better prices than someone who just logs in and posts their players when they get the chance, which might not be the same time everyone else gets the chance to place their bids.

I think you are not realy gettnig the point.

All you say is true. But all GMs also know this.

a playervalue therefor is not a set figure, but a range. Just take it from me we KNOW when a player is sold for a price that is outside that range.

Most of the times this is due to cheating activity. BUT this isn't always the case. (for example if a player decided to quit and just wanted to make 1 team happy by donating all his money to it, it is very possible the selling team wasn't aware, and didn't even want it). It's these last cases I am referring about. By not reporting this, you will make yourself suspicious, and what's more, to be able to separate good from bad we even made the rule that everyone is obligated to report it.

So once again: if you are reasonably thinking the lpayr is realy worth what you got for him, you will most likely not get into trouble.
But if you think: hey let's ask double of what I expect I can get from him and hope some fool bids and buys him, you are riding a wrong track.

I think by now everyone who read this all will get a prety good picture of what they are supposed to do. Arguing about it and trying to point out to us that in some cases this and in some cases that will not help. It's the way the system works, and it's the way the system is going to keep working. If we alow these exceptional situation to be used as explanation of high prices, we are only helping cheaters getting away with their acts.
If a honest user accidentally gets into such a situation he has the possiblity to report it so we can investigate the case to verify if indeed he is innocent.
It's realy not difficult. I'd even expect all honest users to happy about this as it helps them to play in a game that doesn't reward cheating and encourages everyone to play fair and test their strenghts in the games.

Im just asking for 1 thing-Transfer Price Estimate: There have been 9 recent transfers of 25-26 year old centers with prodigious rebounding and allstar potential. Of these, the ones with skills most similar has sold for.... lets say 1 mill-2mil.

My question is, if the player(whos C or PF) has prodigious passing aswell and people decide to pay 5,5mill for him, is this a cheating? The owner whos selling him maybe worked hard to get hes passing so high, lost several matches because this guy played in PG position instead of C and now he has to pay the penalty because he gets rewarded for hes hard work?

Sry if this is asked before, i just figured this question out lol....

It does not raise the price to 5,5 mil, so it's still cheating. You would be better off training C skills if you want to make money. If you create a player for your own team, go ahead train passing, but you will not get much more for them on the TL.
