Mine- In no particular order
1. Dwight Howard
2. Bynum
3. Shaq (Out of Respect tho)
4. Emeka Okafor
5. On the defensive end I would add Dalembert or Camby

P.S best players in the N.B.A by faaaaaaaaar are Bryant, Lebron, Wade and CP3. The rest well............

Shaq should not be on there, even if it's out of respect.

Yao should be there, somewhere.

You don't just look at stats. Shaq is horrible defensively. And all the other little things that one does on the court matter.

Plus, how are the Suns doing?

Yeah, I hope it didnt seem like I was bagging on you or anything, just throwing my two cents in on Yao. I think cases could be made for many of the underrated players here, but it seems we started using a scale roughly close to how the BB's had rated players for the sims, which seemed low but the outcome worked (equally low or something).

Its just interesting to see certain teams play Houston very differently than how they play most of thier games. A player that causes you to adjust not just your playcalling, but often your whole style of play (even if the adjustment is effective) says something about the impact that player has.

I think the ranking of C in the NBA at this moment goes-

Dwight Howard
Yao Ming
Perhaps 5 other guys who could argueably go here.

If Shaq is bad defensively then Yao is most def a disgrace. He barely blocks people above 6'8and he is 7'5 or so His footworkis a sad sight to watch. Shaq was good in all that in his youth and that is why I dont respect Yao. For his height he is totally useless. Plus Suns flopping ain't Shaq fault its Steve Nash fault. Put CP3 in that team and they would work wonders.

Yh thats what he is mean to do. Thats what they call building a squad around a player. But he aint doing it well. He is one of the worst defenders, aint giving assists like CP3 and most importantly doesn't get much fouls against opponents. Hes old and shuld go retire.

First of all, Nash is the only reason Phoenix is even this good right now.
Phoenix has no team defence. It's not just Nash's fault.

Secondly, I didn't say Shaq was bad defensively in his youth years. I said Shaq sucks defensively right now. Not in his prime. Don't talk about what he was in the past.

Yao is good enough inside that guys like Lebron or Kobe would think twice before going straight at him.

Yao is a more complete basketball player than Shaq. He can shoot from the outside and hit free throws for one. When you have to guard the other team's center or big man outside (ala nowitzki or Pau) it opens up the lane for slashing and driving. I dont think there has been a player that you can compare to Shaq for inside prescense both offensively or defensively, at least not until Howard. So if we are only talking about big bodies under the bucket, yes Shaq was the man, no comparing Yao to that. Yao does little things and causes problems in many areas that dont show up on stat sheets. If I, as a Laker fan, got to snag any center in the league to play with Pau, Kobe, and the boys for the rest of this season, I will take Yao, even over Howard. I think Howard is the best Center in the league but the complete package Yao brings matched with the players on the Lakers would be an amzing combo. Perhaps I am just tired of Centers that miss free throws, its all perspective.

3 points to be made.
1. Shaq misses a lot of free throws but has still posted a 60 point game and has a career average of 11 rebounds(lol which has nothing to do with his free throw missing but I just thought I should add that) and most importantly Yao flops at the all stars. Please tell me Y.
2. I was a Rockets fan and telling me Yao isnt hopeless is akin to blasphemy. Yao doesn't contribute any little thing to the team for starters. A center has two main responsiblities-help in ID and score on the other end. His ID is really poor- he either gets the foul or sumtyms blocks guys 1 ft shorter than him(wow what a great achievement). Telling me he is a more complete player does not matter because he hasnt been able to take the Rockets past the first round. and if you ever watch the playoff games he is the one u have 2 put the blame on.
3. If you are willing to lete Yao join lakers then I don't think your that great a fan.
