I was about to say that it is possible for one to do a buzzerbeater with less than 1 second by using that as an argument ;)

shooting a basketball is essentially a combination of muscle memory and hand-eye coordination. Thinking often spoils the deal. Often times in close games with time running out, athletes have little time to think and their bodies take over, which is why you often see really good players drain ridiculous shots at the end of late games. So I think it is reasonbale that in BB guys shoot better towards the end of the game.

The 2 seconds to minbound, advance, and shoot is much less realistic. Sure, that can happen sometimes. But just as often, if not more often, that can take 3 or 4 or 5 seconds, or can end up in a foul or turnover. I think that the GE should have some sort of seconds-per-event parameters for the end of the game. maybe 3 seconds being the normal with 4 and 2 next and 1 and 5 very rare. A bell curve of probability.
