OD rating? since zone defense will drag them out of position.

Yes, true.
It's like general knowledge. The other PF has higher shot blocking, but he is way more agressive than the one with atrocious, but the higher the shot blocking, the easier will the player defend.

That's kinda the point I'm getting at. ID/OD is probably half of your players foul tendency, and the other half is this aggressive skill. Those aren't exact ratios, just an example.

I think you could add the SB to the ID part. SB completes the ID. If you go for a block and you don't really have any ability at it you will probably foul a lot more than if you were a good shot blocker. Your player commits 1.5 FPG, but if he had higher SB, maybe he had less fouls.

with his potential, he won't be much more than a bench player in a first league. And his inside Shot makes him quite hard to train into a SF. Go the SG route; train his OD, JR and Passing for the time being, and finish him off by training JS and some Handling once he is no defensive liability any more.

Doesn't not training SB slow down training in general for big men?

As in the wider the gap between Sb and the related skills... the longer it takes to train the other skills.

Just to clarify, not stating. Questioning. Putting up for discussion even.

Have no idea, never trained big man. But, i've heard around the forums, that if a skill is too behind the other, the training of the others will be slower, while the training of that skill is faster. Can't be sure anyways.

yeah get rid of him. hes too small for centre for starters, his secondary attributes are woeful and even his primary are average.
