"SLOPPY AS SLURPEE!"

PILIPINAS U21 114 VS HANGKUK U21 91

The games odds are surely on the side of the nationals, and it was clearly seen on the first two quarters of the game as our team blaze the scoreboards and tallied up the points like there is no tomorrow leading the 1st half by 26. Going in to the locker room Coach PH-Nz noticed the boys laughing and making taunts about their opponents, One line that was clearly heard was "Mabuti pa mag laro na lang ako sa kanto namin eh, bukod sa may challenge na may pusta pa!" Coach didn't took what he heard seriously as he know that this team are always good at ice breakers. At the start of the 3rd quarter the joke turned out to be a nightmare as the nationals saw themselves in a 19-2 run by the opponents, cutting the lead to 9 and forcing the nationals to take a 30 second timeout. Out of the timeout the team were quite composed again and jokes were over as they moved the floor with a sense of urgency in every decision they made. 4 minutes in the 3rd Q the score was 80 - 73 down to a 7 point lead and saw the face of coach PH-Nz looking straight to the floor but Rhyan Pantinopla said i got this coach and he prove us right as he burst on hitting 3 pointers at his spot on the left wing answering and breaking the momentum of the opponents. Heading in to the last quarter the team sealed the game playing good productive basketball and routing the opponents to a 114 - 91 victory.

Coach was asked about the team's performance on the game and he said "Ang lambot ng galawan ng mga players natin parang mga nag punta ng Timog kagabe.. ang bagal sa bola.. ang lakas ng tsansa ma agawan.. turnover dito turover doon.. buti nalang almost 50% ang mga 3 pointers nila..pero panalo pa rin yan kaya tatangapin na rin namin.."

When asked who are sharped and who are not coach replied " Si Rhyan ang ganda ng performance niya solid talaga.. si Pueda accurate din kaso hinde masyado namamasa bakaw talaga yang batang yan.. Si Opialda nanibago siguro sa postion pero atleast nag deliver pa rin sa game.. Si Noche Solid laro.. ganda talaga passing niya for a bigmen pero nag struggle siya sa shooting.. Somogod rin ok ang nilaro kahit limited minutes at panget shooting. Si Vista lang talaga ang nag choke this game totally for me.. tigas ng ulo kase ng bata na yan pag practice late na nga ayaw pa humabol ng warm - up sayang ang talent pag ganun ang attitude."

Next Game is against MALAYSIA

What A Game Indeed

For the third straight time the nationals have scored over 100 or to even enhance it over 110 points.. yes the team is kicking loaded of weapons for scoring indeed..oh wait.. mag tagalog na lang tayo para anti - scouting prevention, sa huling tatlong laro natin ay uma - average tayo ng 118.6 per game as team at nangangahulugan na ang opensa natin maganda ang produksyon pero hinde na ngangahulugan na maganda ang takbo..

Reporter : Coach another blowout win for our team, anong masasabi niyo?
PH-Nz : Okay naman panalo is panalo kahit na 1 - 21 kame sa tres at ang turnover namen na 12 ay marami for me sa estimate ko mga 4 to 7 lang dapat. Mediocre shooting rin tayo sa line pero panalo kaya tangapin nalang pero we'll work on that..
Reporter: How about the positives coach?
PH-Nz : Meron naman, our FG% is high and our tenacity on rebounding is very good kit mo na lahat gusto talagang rumibound. Assist ok na rin pero could have done better.
Reporter: Any Disappointing players and Standout ones?
PH-Nz : Disappointments muna honestly to me its Ulan Cantara the team captain of this team yes his leadership is there pero his production and consistency is gone fishing in the west Philippine sea. Standouts, hmm for this game its gotta be Vescatcho ang husay ng batang yan coming in to the team as unknown and to tell you the truth i underestimated his talent and IQ when he was still buying a spot for the team pero look at what we have here.. a beast yes a hell of a beast.
Reporter: Any Shout outs?
Reporter: Thanks coach! See you again next time and that is wrap! (*Clap Clap Clap)

Games are won by superstars, but Championships are won by TEAM!

Yes indeed the team played out their against Japan U21 relentlessly, striking fear to the teams on the other brackets. The nationals then again surpassed their opponents in flying colors and was almost perfect in handling the ball with only 6 committed turnovers. Six players scored in double figures (4 Starters and 2 Reserves) namely Noche 18, Vista 17, Chan 16, Cantara 16, Porter 15 and Vescatcho 13. The game was turned into a slaughter house on the 3rd period of the game as the HABAGAT team sealed the victory quickly on the game due to a 31 - 9 3rd quarter score giving the other players of the team some playing time. When coach was asked again who was the positive and negative players out there he briefly replied "Vista good, Pueda $%@$@!" and the interview was immediately canceled but for contract issues about interview gladly we had their assistant jeorge9 speaking for the hot headed coach PH-Nz. We then asked him what happened to coach? He replied in a calm respectable way. "He was still frustrated on the team regarding on boxing out and certain players having off nights, Specially Pueda who is 0 - 8 on the field though his in shape he really shot poorly." Followed up by another question, we asked what do you think will be the adjustments of the team? He peacefully replied again "We think its all about getting our players mentally focused and make them work hard on practice as you can see on the game who have the best work ethics on our team! We also believe that we have to put our players on a strict curfew as we have been reported that some of our players have been seen checking in motels with young teenage stars. " Any clues who they are coach? "Rumor has it, to name a few are.. Julia Baretto, Jane Oineza, Michelle Vito and Coleen Garcia."

Oh, i should have tried out for the team before.. xD Thank you coach.. !

Next Game will be against the toughest challenger in our bracket, Hong Kong!

Hi guys. I posted this on the Questions Thread and I'm also posting this here since I think Pilipinas U21 should get a say on this choice.

I have a question po mga idol.

Sa list of prospects ko ngayon merong 3 players na confused ako kung sino i.draft

Player 1 : 19 yr.old 6'3" PF - 5 Star/5 Potential [A+] (Could be a great PG/SG with awesome non PG/SG skills)
Player 2 : 18 yr.old 6'3" PG - 5 Star/4 Potential [A+] (Could be a great U21 PG)
Player 3 : 18 yr.old 7'1" C - 5 Star/4 Potential [A] (Could be a greate U21 PF/C)

Which player do I choose?

If I choose Player 1 it would be because I have plans of selling him (I normally don't train Guards and Wings). He should be an MVP or higher potential player. Depending on his potential (HoF or ATG) there is a low chance I might train him as a PG. If I do sell him, how much would this type of player net me (considering he is 19 yr.old)?

If I choose Player 2 it would be because I will definitely sell him for a lot of cash (I normally don't train Guards and Wings).

If I choose Player 3, I could train him to become a great U21 PF/C. The problem right now is that I already have a crowded frontcourt consisting of a (23 yr.old 100k+ C [Pinoy and Originally drafted by me] , 18 yr.old MVP Potential PF [Pinoy], 19 yr.old MVP Potential C [Foreigner]). If I do choose this player I have several options.
a. Sell this player
b. Sell 19 yr.old MVP Potential C [Foreigner] (most probable option)
c. Sell 23 yr.old 100k+ C (I'm hesitant to do this)

Which player do I choose?
Player 1 with all the potential, Player 2 with all the cash, or Player 3 as a definite U21 prospect? Currently, I'm leaning towards drafting Player 3.

P.S.

It's okay if my League-mates see this post since I'm almost guaranteed to get the first pick in this draft. If ever I drop to 2nd or 3rd pick, there really is no wrong choice among these 3 picks.

P.S.S.

If Pilipinas U21 manager wants me to train Player 3 for U21 I will definitely pick him.

Player 1 would not be much of a big money for what i see considering his age.. as there are some managers who value age most.

Player 2 is my favorite.. he is definitely a big pile of money ranging from 250k and above.

Player 3 not good for me at all though your training bigs..

My Suggestion:

Pick Player 2 as for me he would then benefit you 100k+ Center in the future.. you would have a combo in your rotation and as you said your front court is crowded.

or You could pick player 3 making your front court more unstoppable and try to buy some old guard from the transfer list.

But for me being the coach of our U21 i would choose player 2 because of his A+ against the A of your center.

THE DECISION is still in your hands, Im only showing possibilities on your decision.

WHAT A GAME INDEED! PH U21 UPSETS HK U21

Coming in to the game the nationals practiced without a ball a day before the game and the players were confused of what are they doing and some said "Hinde na ata basketball laro natin eh" "HAHA! Invisible na bola". But when coach PH - Nz said it was a part of their preparation for the upcoming tough match against Hong Kong who are eventually a title contender in this tournament. Coach explained that the value he is trying to employ to his players is that they must know how to move without the ball and how they could impact the game without the ball in their hands and imbue them with a sense of hungriness for the ball. The players responded on having a good practice mastering their baseline back screens and their shotgun plays.

Before the game they were seen meditating in the locker room with fellow assistant managers Basketmaniacs and jeorge9 concentrating on physical toughness and pouring them with a sense of urgency when needed.

On the get go of the game the nationals were ecstatic showing their A game early on and playing the strategies both defensively and offensively with ease. At the end of first quarter we lead in the tune of 32 - 14 making everyone smile in the nationals bench and the nationals who are in attendance. The second quarter was a wake up for HK as they exchange basket after basket ending the quarter score at 28 a piece. Halftime score 60 - 42 PH leading by 18.

The 3rd quarter was gruesome as both team are making hard fouls and playing very physically as several players from both squads are pilling up the fouls. The 3rd quarter was a close one alone but the total score tallied up to a 21 point lead by the nationals.

On the start of the fourth quarter coach decided to rest all their starting players and it was a good choice as the HK did the same by that point the spectators see that the HK team is giving up on the game and it was clarified by the way their players play.

PH U21 106 - HK U21 91

After the game coach PH-Nz was really happy on taking the interviews not like last week were he was so heated up..

FIBA ASIA: Coach what a big win for you guys, what could you say?
PH-Nz: I don't know what to say, all of our hard work payed off and the team played splendid basketball there sending messages to other teams what we have in store for them..
FIBA ASIA: Going in to the tournament there are several issues on your candidacy, do you have anything to say?
PH-Nz: Hater's gonna hate, They always see me talking so arrogant and always think im dreaming.. well guess what im fulfilling that dream upsetting higher salaried teams and were heading in the right direction on making heads turn for us and for me that i can coach better on what they think of me. When everyone doubted me and no one believe me i was so down but held on and the only one that believe me was myself.
FIBA ASIA: Last question, Any thoughts on the second round?
PH-Nz: I see ourselves in continuing our rhythm and momentum on games.. and more upsets in the making. Thank you!

2ND ROUND COMING SOON!!

Sir, ano po pala ang difference nung A+ and A ng player 2 and player 3? Better yung potential ni player 2 kesa ni player 3? 4 star kce yung potential nilang dalawa....
