My mentor says don't spend on anything besides trainees and then a new trainer but I want a good goalie. What do you think?


It really depends what you want to do with your team. Taking the training approach will take quite a while for you to fill the void but buying someone will means you will improve a lot quicker and will be able to promote quicker. Not that it matters much when you are in bot leagues but its just like BB...you got to find the right combination of balancing short vs long term needs.

I think there is only one or two bots in my league although I will have to see what mllama does. I was lucky to start at the top of the ladder so I can't see any reason not to promote and get the extra money next season then relegate and do it again while the glacial training slowly takes place.

There are 4 bots (the bottom 4 are all bots). The other two teams don't look amazing either, so I reckon its your title to lose ;).

I'm in no rush to promote (and I'd have to beat you both home and away in order to do it...), so I see no reason for either of us to spend up big this season

The bottom four are all bots but the top four are the ones I am worried about. Also I am not sure how much better than a bot I am right now. My team's morale is rock bottom and they are playing unfamiliar formations so they may be worse than when I started.

Nah, reckon you are comfortably stronger than the other 2 non-bots. No idea how my team will run, but I'm just buying trainees, so I expect you'll account for me at your home game at least.

Second week of training and no real pops yet. This is going to be torture. Maybe I should have gone with a 10 player training position so at least I would see one pop a week.

Your players need to play for your team to receive training for the week, so anyone you bought this week won't get training unless you played them in a friendly on Wednesday (and they need to play as a forward to get scoring training.)

Your team will be strong enough to beat bots, and after two or three games your formation experience will improve so you won't receive any penalty.

Make sure you complete the manage license 'challenges', as they all give you some extra cash. Don't make any big purchases and you'll be fine, there's no reason why you can't promote this season and then stay up, some if theV leagues are pretty easy too.

Two weeks training and no pops. Worse still having finally understood the game and looked at my team about half my players are best as forwards, half are best as wingers, one is best as a back and one is best as a keeper. I would have been so much better off training backs. Ah well.
