Well despite the Calamari getting flogged everywhere (only one Calamari in the top five anywhere) there is excitement in this weeks ladder. There is a draw for top spot. The Kingfish have had their lead eroded through the great play of teams like Urmammas, Awesome^.- and Home Axis of the Sharks. But the King of the Kingfish is still the King, mllama and the Lewisham Wombats leading the West, but like Lebron in 2011 he is a king without a ring, can he hold on and who will win out of the Kingfish and the Sharks. Even Leeroy did his bit taking down Los Coolfreakz El'Ninios who now seem to be an almost certain lock to get the Zivaid Gulbandi award for excellence, if only they could get something out of their leaders, Kingfish have mllama top in the West, Calamari have the Seagulls second in the West, the Sharks have Bainsy and Skyhookz hanging about mid-table in the East.

Well it is two weeks later and the points totals haven't changed a bit. Still the Kingfish and Sharks are locked in a deadly battle to see who is the top of the food chain. I must make special mention of the new teams to the ABBL Slam ! and Urmummas who are doing as well here as they are doing everywhere else. At least one Calamari is doing well with the Seagulls still being top of the West but they had a soft early draw and will be surprised to hold on as others charge home.

Three more weeks and little has changed, the Kingfish and Sharks are neck and neck. The Kingfish have 3rd-7th in the West with Dire, mllama, tremell and Johnno all doing a brilliant job. Only Urumammas and a certain Seagull are preventing their total domination. Meanwhile in the East the Sharks strengh is having Axis123 and Sundae dominating, Axis123 being the only undefeated manager left this season.

First I must say well done to everyone for playing this season. It was tough on a couple of teams that had to struggle at the bottom of the West like TeamAkuma and Moorditj Magick and Skyhook Dreamers, Brisbane Thunder and Los Coolfreakz El'Ninios in the East but everyone battled it out in the right spirit.

Well done to all the playoff teams
The West: Chelsea Seagulls, Chumunga, Urmummas and Black Label Society, bad luck to Slam ! just missing out.
The East: Home Axis, Awesome^.- , Winnerz and JW City Bulls with another close 5th Whompas Donkeys missing out on PD.

Special mention to Home Axis for a brilliant season in the East, they are looking good to be a force in the West next season and Chelsea Seagulls the minor premiers in the West who were very lucky with the timing of some of their games.

Great work everyone and I hope season 10 we will be able to have a very similar lineup of teams with little change.

Well in the end the Kingfish were well named as they became the Kings of the Fishbowl season nine. A great chase by the Sharks for most of the season but just dropping off a bit at the end. As for the Calamari all I can say is we will be better next season. Hopefully we will see some old familiar faces back with potentially Iwen and Naker making their return but we certainly deserved last this season, we only have one team in the playoffs between the two leagues. Thanks to everyone for making this season a very harmonions and peaceful one with a lot less issues than normal.
