He's a bit slow now. Just aggressive still.

I don't think I could ever see a team with carmelo on it ever as a contender (ok, I can in very specific circumstances...)

However - Bargs trade was weird (sadly I support raptors) and made no real sense for NY unless they are gambling on being able to redeem him after all these years of going backwards.

Aron Baynes making some noise in the Summer League.
He dropped something like 19pts and 15 boards.
He played well in their last game as well !

Kenyon Martin is still an UFA, hasn't signed with anyone yet. With MWP taking the remainder of the mid-level exception I'm not sure if they can bring him back now

It was the first thing Celtics general manager Danny Ainge told Kris Humphries on Monday when the two sat down to talk: "We're not tanking."

See this is why NBA GM's should never play Buzzerbeater ;)

haha Danny Ainge... classic case of do as I say but not as I do.

They tried this rebuilding *cough* tanking phase when Tim Duncan was in the draft and then again for Oden/Durant.

And true about the Kenyon not coming back to the Knicks. They only have enough to sign World Peace and Prigioni got 1.6mil each.

Shumpert will probably start at SG.
Prigioni can back up PG/SG.
World Peace might backup SG/SF until JR Smith gets back from knee surgery.
Carmelo will probably play 40 mins at SF.
Chandler, Bargnani and Amare will share minutes at PF/C. If one of these three get injured then they will be royally screwed and that will force Carmelo to play at PF again.

only against smaller teams. Melo can't defend the low block against the likes of Boozer, etc over the course of a game

MWP defend at PF just like Battier has been for Heat.

They really need to make him a starter, if not give him JR Smith-like minutes in every game.
