Even an Allstar potential is good for C. Maybe not an elite player but he can bring you 3-3.5M. Thats the worth of my 21 y/o Allstar C. He is currently 2 pop ups away from his soft cap. Note that i have bought him for just 100k, and i am training 2 positions big men. Not a bad deal dont you think?

My starting SG has a salary of 56k and respectable rebounding. If I were to raise his rebounding to strong his salary would balloon to 59K. If I were to raise it to prodigious ( at stupendous his position would change to SF) his salary would be 90k, but I don't want my guard's rebounding that high. I want it somewhere between average and proficient. At the end of this season I hope to have him pop twice in passing, once in rebounding, once in Handling, and (fingers crossed) once in OD. His total salary increase for these 5 pops would be roughly10.5k- 7 for the OD, 3 for the REB, and .5 for the Handling. SGs get free passing until prolific, when they turn into PG and it starts to cost 10k per pop.

I look forward to the day when Thai D.1 needs to have 100k PG to compete. Alas, since a team with a 12k PG can compete in Thai D.1 I am not going to hold my breath for when that day arrives. Personally I don't think anybody needs a PG with a salary over 100k. I think I could build a highly competitive PG for 50k.

I certainly prefer rebounding for my guards above ID for them or OD for my big guys, so I absolutely disagree with you there. Passing is far more important to me for big guys than OD as well.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Looks like OD for PF is important. The 2 players that i am using there, playerA OD 3, JS 10, IS 13, RE 11, ID9 same PlayerB JS 10, IS13, RE12, ID11, OD1, 5PA for both. The B player is the better player no doubt about that, but the 1st works much better than the 2nd as a PF. Small sample but something you can consider as an indication.

I'm sure you can build a good pg with 50k salary in your league in near future.

Also I think Passing is more important than OD for big guys.

I didn't mention Passing bcz I believe you know its importance for whole team and every single player.

I just want to discuss if the REB is so important for PG and SG as you said.

let us say our training priority to SG.

OD, JS, and JR >Handing, Driving and Passing>ID and IS>REB, it's mine.

And I still believe a world-class SG don't need training on REB, because SG's REB will become his team's finance pressure and can't bring benfit to his team so much.

A sg with poor ID could lead to be fouled out or losing a game. A sg with poor REB usually means nothing bad happened.

It's my best rookie.

Weekly salary: $ 4 179

DMI: 10000
Age: 18
Height: 6'0" / 183 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Game Shape: average

Jump Shot: strong ↑ Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: average
Driving: mediocre ↑ Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: strong ↑ Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: atrocious Shot Blocking: atrocious
Stamina: strong Free Throw: respectable

Experience: atrocious

It cost me 2.17 M, if his REB is above mediore, maybe I wouldn't buy it because I will train him to a world-class SG with lowest cost.

what's your opinion?

for any guard these are my stats in preference

OD, JS, and JR >Rebounding and Passing>Handling >ID and IS >Driving.

I dont rate Driving at all...

and i am talking about handling at a decent level, respectable or so.

In my short experience as a dedicated guard trainer I rate my priorities as (For a PG not a SG)

OD, JS, HA > JR, PA > DR, ID (While I do like ID on a PG I would never train it)

I don't believe in ever training IS for a PG and while I do respect the argument for Rebounding on a guard does make sense I believe the time can be better spent on a more important skill.

For me, I don't see PG and SG as needing the same skill sets. This is how I would construct my perfect players.
PG- OD and Passing > JR, HA, JS > REB > DR > other skills.
SG- OD > JS, JR > Passing and REB > HA > other skills
