You agree Motoori is no SF. I have a hard time believing that after training Asano for two seasons myself and you continue his training as a PF! that being~ behind on TSP when he was with me, a year older....that somehow magically Asano has jumped ahead as an SF....with a year older training speed....and in a PF regimen....

You are correct....Asano is a PF but in the JBBL I can get away with playing him at SF. My goal is still either 12 OD 18 ID or 13 OD or 17 ID...and that would make him a PF. .Now if the Blank gives him minutes at SF, that is not up to me.

Much more constructive discussion going on!

I think BB King's long overdue for a bit of a comment on this...

Perhaps Motoori should have played more than 2 minutes as a backup C, but it would require a manual set lineup.

The last game it actually did use Asano at PF mostly and I think he played rather well there from what I saw in the game....considering his opponent as well and the enth difference...darn good performance.

Well, I have fixed Motoori's SB so I hope he gets some time at C. About the Blank...Now I wonder if it is broken because after Asano popped in OD two weeks ago and it finally plays him at PF. I was giving him OD because of the fact he was playing SF for the NT. And here is some good advice that BB KIng gave me..He said that a good NT PF for a big country has either 12/18 for 13/17 OD/ID. So that is what I am going for. Will I get there...I hope.

Ok... good win tonight!

Let them get back in the game, but had England (a quality opponent) on the ropes all evening.

Shoulda been more.

Yeah, I was watching - just not in chat. Did seem like K-Mat was playing better than Hayakawa tonight.

The game was still close and Asano could feel it slipping away. He was being held to just two points but had 4 assist, the coach looked his way and said, " Asano, you're in" and as Asano was walking up to the scorers table getting ready for the next dead ball, the coach whispers in his ear, "get busy, they can't hold you kid". There was only 7:45 left in the 4th when Oishi, looking tired and a step slow due to the years of abuse, hobbled his way to the bench. Asano let's out a scream, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! And walks onto the court and looks at the chump who would be D'ing him up, "Yo Ho, your lady is going home with me tonight BIATCH!!!...and then it started...
First....at the 7:24 mark...BOOOOOOM.....T. Asano swooshes a hook shot in J. Gascoigne FACE!!
And then at the 6:36 mark....Blammm..... Asano banks a fade-away 10 footer while guarded closely by J. Gascoigne. Asano is feeling it now but after a hard foul and a warning from the REF, the coach calls him to the bench....Now he is furious, he is seeing red and wants back in the game. Now with the lead getting smaller, the coach has no choice but to stick him back in the game and it pays off instantly..
With the lead down to only 4 and only 2:41 left, stupid Takayama shoots a three but then out of no where Asano snatches the O Rebound out of the air and puts it back in with Gascoigne all over him. With a quick lay up on Kawagichi the coach decides to slide Asano to PF. With the lead still at 4 And Asano can see Coates shaking his head as he knows he has no answer for the mighty 25yr old. And his fears were soon realized as Asano turned a nice Fuji back door pass into a two handed flush to put the game at 112-106 with 2:02 to play. With the lead cut to 5 with 1:14 left Asano puts up an off-balance jumper from the baseline and it's a perfect rain drop and all you hear is the net and SWOOOOOSH!!
And there you have it...How Asano scored 10 points in 7 minutes to save Japan....I love this game
BTW...After the game Asano was seen leaving with Gascoigne lady. It seems like she will be drinking a special Asano protein drink tonight....
