Yes you are totally right. I forgot that it really was conference ranking not league ranking. There are several leagues where all three "best" ones are from same conference.

So in practice it means that there is no any chance to be promoted from conference 3rd position without getting into finals, even all conference or league winners will not necessarily promote.

That's the way it is… i am top seeded with a ridiculous 13-9 record and still not sure to promote, if i don't reach the finals!

I am sitting 4th in my Conference and 6th in my League at 13-9, but I will be winning the Finals to promote, who else will be in line for automatic promotion do you think?

Yeah that's what i was thinking mate.

I finished 22-0 so i know im a def to promote, but i just want that extra cash from playoffs to continue setting up the team for next season and of course invest in the arena.

Probably the only chance I have of winning is if this "technical delay" continues to just before the start of the game, and Im able to submit my team but my opponent isnt.

Seriously though its a problem that needs fixing and in the interim they should be communicating the problem and apologising for it

2 conference 4th

===> 160 promotions clear

68 conference winners who did't get into finals will all be promoted!!!

And then rest of the free seats (28) will be given for conference 2nd's who didnt get into finals.

Then lets look at those a bit more.
- 1 = has 20-2 record
- 16 = have 19-3 record

Now we have still 11 seats available, so best ones with 18-4 record:
