My PG (2649655) seemed a bit trigger happy in the scrimmage game (12707970) He usually shot only at most 5 a game, yet his attempts got to about 17. And my 2-3 zone got me pitiful (high) in perimeter defense. Im also wondering why my Look Inside offense yield me 13 3-point attempts. I dont have good outside shooters yet my SF attempted 5 shots beyond the arc instead of going below the basket.

34 combined 3-point attempts seem too much for two teams that looked inside - (12704225). Even against 2-3 defenses I usually get less than 10 attempts from 3-point land in the current GE. The Look Inside offense felt like Push the Ball in the new GE.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, clearly although I didnt intend to lower the OD rating, somehow something we did seemed to have a dramatic effect so I will look into that and have it adjusted for next week. This is exactly why we released it in this manner so we can get it right before it goes on games that matter.

the tsv bogen plays with weak outside defenders on PG and SG(i believe the PG has an 4, and his 2cd SG with 23 patz have an one in OD) and gets pretty good rating - many this could helps you in finding a solution

quick question on defense algorithm...
I've been focusing on players at every position that have decent outside and inside defense... with the new game engine that uses the location of the shot to decide the defender, it just seems to me that my strategy is a bad one...
meaning I should instead go for the PG and SG with extremely high OD and atrocious ID, and the PF and C with atrocious OD but extremely high ID... just wondering if I misunderstood how defense work in the new engine?

Another case of a Look Inside that seemed like Push the Ball:

(12705951)

A total of 27 attempts from the 3-point area by an offense that looked inside.

And it seemed the guards got the bulk of these attempts. My 3 guards combined attempt is 56 of the teams 104. Im seeing less Inside Shots here.

I'm wondering if the lowered OD is causing more outside shots to be taken regardless of offense used.

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Perhaps there might be a connection there. But if the OD is lowered, should it also be possible for my Guards to easily pass inside? Yet instead of pounding inside, they chose to snipe outside.

it is some kind of discission making before the shot, how high are the chanches that i finish this shot and how good that the guy who gets the pass finish it ;)

So when the OD is low, normally he say i could make this shot instead of tryining a pass to get a weaker or as good shot oppurnity with the risk of a TO or timetrouble.

Meaning it defeats the tactics of setting the offense to Look Inside. The guard will make the play according to his dicission. Well, more like a basketball game in real life. Teams in the real world rarely use Look Inside the entire game.
