Putting this up early again cause I can lol. We finally had a "real" matchup this week as the Stallions took on the Lakers. This one didn't dissapoint. The Lakers jumped out to a 6 point half time lead before the Stallions put up a great 3rd quarter to take a 2 point lead into the 4th. The Lakers managed to fight back though and win by 10 in a game that scared the bujeezes out of me. Meanwhile the Great 8 continues to dominate the Big 8 as the conference all star game approaches.

They said it: "When I came to America, I actually wanted to play against a team that looked liked professionals, I finally got to this week."

-----Jochen Oswald in response to facing off agains the Tenn. Stallions.

1. (1) Coal Miners

The best offense in V. 41 didn't dissapoint. They averaged 111 points in two games this week. They had solid contributions from everyone including an impressive 24 points from Will Hickey against lemoss. This week should be smooth sailing as they still have 2 weeks until they face the Stallions.

2. (2) Cincinnati Lakers

I don't know if one game can make a case for an MVP canidate but I think Jochen Oswald threw his name in. He led the Lakers in points against the Stallions and came up big when they needed him in the fourth quarter. The Lakers should now be able to rest until the Miners after surviving the scare from the Stallions.

3.(3) Tenn Stallions

The Stallions held up tough against the Lakers, unfortunately Saturday wasn't there day in this potiental finals matchup. Jaime Sena proved to be a big bright spot for the Stallions, scoring 23 points. They don't get much of a break though as they face off against Bollingbrook this week.

4.(4) Buffalo Wings

The Wings won't be here at this point next week more than likely. Baring a miracle this will be the last time we will see the Wings in V. 41. But they won out this week once again. They beat up on Big 8 bottomfeeders this last week.

5.(5) Bollingbrook Tigers

The Tigers get a new chance to prove themselves this Saturday. They play the Tenn. Stallions. Yu Yufa will get the chance to solidify his MVP considerations as he'll finally get some competition. Yufa dropped 25 as they easily beat vanilla ice-cream.

6.(8) WWIAFTM

Wacky jumps back up 2 spots this week after an impressive week in which they finally managed to get there point differental back to 0. They showed just how good they could be in the other conference as they beat the 3rd place Lighterz by 23.

7.(6) detroit lions

This could very well be the last time we could see the lions here too. Unlike the Wings though this team will go out one game removed from a 53 point shalacking from the Lakers. They did manage to beat macintosh though.

8. (NR) The Dolphins

The Dolphins manage to slip back into the top 8 after picking up two pretty impressive wins over the bottom third of the Great 8.

Game of the Week: LA Thunder @ boston celtics

Any time you have boston and LA playing each other it has to be a much watch especially this time as one team will be forced to finally win a game. Should be a good one.

Real Game of the Week: Bollingbrook Tigers @ Tenn. Stallions

This one will really be the best played game as the Stallions look to bounce back from the Laker loss. Jaime Sena vs. Yu Yufa could be a good matchup to watch and itll be an interesting gauge for both teams.

I knew it was over 3mins into the 4th quarter. Inside Iso wasn't my first choose I wanted to Motion or Patient but I thought 3-2 was going to be the defense used against us. The Tigers are not going to score over 50. I wanted to face the Wings they got me last season but I wanted pay back.

Lol i believe that, your defense is great I figured that playing man would trick you which is honestly the only reason I played it, I didn't think you'd expect it. But anyway gg, after that 3rd quarter I honestly thought you had me beat.

I'm surprised you ran an inside Iso against Cin. His team is one of the top 3 inside defensive teams in V.41

I figure that my inside offense can handle 2 man under the basket I did expect 3. I wanted to play Stan as the small forward but I want him to get train in a specific area so I did not put him in the starting line-up. Guadentas is my fall back for big but has played crappy recently. I guess that was a life and learn week.

So we're now offically past the half-way point in the season. We've made it to the all-star break. It's been a tough road for a lot but the two preseason favorites have asserted themselves near the top of the conference and the Coal Miners have emphatically added that their right up and possible above the rest.

"I think teams are scared to play us.

-----Seldom used Gaston Pina as to why teams have been going under so fast.

1. (1) Coal Miners

The Miners take the only undefeated record into the all-star break. They've played amazingly on the offensive end, scoring the most points in the league so far. They still have to face the Stallions and another date with the Lakers but if they can continue to channel the ability of all-stars Narces Dalleres and Cristobal Sarcristian Roy.

2. (2) Cincinnati Lakers

The Lakers just keep on chugging and have now pulled off 12 straight wins. They seem to be able to score at will as the slow offense has quickly opened up. Jesus Miguel Lamas Cabrera continues to be the team engine. He put up 26 points and taking down 7 rebounds against the Philadelphia Heat on Saturday.

3.(3) Tenn Stallions

The Stallions came up the big winners from the all-star day selections. They have 6 people representing their team, which even in the talent depleted Big 8 is an incredible accomplishment. They continue to roll through teams, taking out the Bollingbrook Tigers by 16 in a good test game.

4.(4) Bollingbrook Tigers

The Tigers are one of five teams to be constantly in the top 8 that hasn't gone under yet. They had a tough loss to Tenn. on Saturday but because of the loss of the Buffalo Wings, the Tigers are clearly the 3rd best team in the Great 8. Quique Suarez came up huge for the Tigers, dropping 31 in the loss to make up for Yufa's off night.

5.(6) WWIAFTM

WWIAFTM now has a pretty decent shot to make the playoffs after the Wings went under. I thought this team was still a season away but as long as they stay human, I think they easily make the playoffs. They beat the boston celtics by 31 before eeking out a 7 point win over the BALLKillers.

6.(NR) kalamazoo hurricanes

The hurricanes looked pretty impressive in there debut against another newely formed CPU team in daquan. They won by 16. Brent Barnard looks to be the player to watch for. He scored 23 points and got 12 rebounds in his debut. He'll be important as the hurricanes try to finish 2nd in there division.

7.(NR) Jet Life

I'm putting this team up here so fast because I believe there here to stay. They might not be able to get out of a relegation series this year, but they already have a 12 point win over Lighterz and there gm has already made a nice pickup.

8.(8) The Dolphins

The Dolphins won't be here for to much longer, but for this week they stay at 8. They played awful this week, losing to macintosh by 3. They also got held to under 40 by the Cincinnati Lakers. They stay here because the rest of the rest, isn't extremely impressive and they have 2 players that make up the rest of the all-star team along with the Stallions.

Game of the Week: Big 8 vs. Great 8

This game is basically the Stallions/Dolphins vs Miners/Lakers/Tigers. I don't think the Big 8 has enough to compete with the Great 8 this year, but it's the all-star game. It should be fun and that's why it's the GOTW.

It looks like rolly has been busy too. Great job on latest update. It a update to me anyway because I didn't notice how close they got. Good luck to both of you and any other player look at these post. Also good luck to the Slammers who are in 2nd place and defeated the top team in V.35's Big 8. If he can manage to defeat the #1 seed in his conference he could move on to division 3. Congrats to the Slammers on a stellar season! Goodluck everyone!

Best of luck to you guys as well. Kinda sad to see what appears to be the end of the Tigers: they were the unstoppable juggernaut I feared first. The rest of the playoffs look to be a race to take on Murl's boys in the finals, oddly reminiscent of last season :)

It could be any of you three (Rolly, Random, and Murl) who moves on, and whoever is left behind wont be here long. Its gonna get awfully confusing keeping track of all of you :)

As for me, im definitely not ready for div3. Beating Judd was a surprise to me. I had HCA, but he had the better team and normal vs my TIE. I have no idea why I won. I'm certainly going to give the Dragons and Omaha my best, but I really don't intend to promote this season. Possibly next season, but I need some bigger firepower first.

If my team can hang like this, though, it bodes well for you guys very soon!

Good luck!

We've reached the final strech of the season. There are only 8 games left and after tonight, there will be just the 7 division games left in the season. This week only had one game in it, and a whole lot didn't change around the league, but this week could as The Coal Miners play both the Stallions and the Lakers in the same week.

"I felt like my skills were being disrespected so I did something extra. I feel like JMLC and I had chemistry out there. The whole team was in the zone this(2nd) quarter."

----Cristóbal Sacristan Roy, who scored 43 pts. on 21-30 attempts, expressed during the half as the Big 8's 5 game ASG winning streak was snapped.

1. (1) Coal Miners

Cristobal Sarcristian Roy continues to play like he's on another planet. In the all-star game, against the best of the best all he did was drop 43 points. He then led the Miners to a 65 point blowout of the kalamazoo hurricanes. He scored 25 points. If he wants to see the Miners win these two games, he's going to need performances like that.

2. (2) Cincinnati Lakers

The Lakers stay steadily at the 2 spot. They continue to just take care of business. JLMC asserted his authority as he won the three point contest during all-star weekned. Brought together as a team though, JLMC stuggled, but as they always do, the rest of the team stepped up and got a 41 point win. The rookie, Victor Manuel Carballido scored 15 points in the rout.

3.(3) Tenn Stallions

The Stallions face there second real test in a huge home game against the Coal Miners. They continued to beat up on the newbies of the Great 8 as they beat daquan by 42 points. The Stallions are going to need Stephen Yates to continue his hot shooting that he displayed in the all-star game.

4.(4) Bollingbrook Tigers

The only thing that can really stop the Tigers at this point are themselves. Their really close to turning CPU at this point,f they don't they should to continue to be the same team that dominanted brickny by 58. The Tigers can easily compete in the Great 8 and finish top 3, but the second they go CPU and lose dominant players like Yu Yufa, the seasons lost.

5.(5) WWIAFTM

WWIAFTM has moved to just 1 game back of a playoff spot. With daquan sputtering, there slowly moving into the last playoff spot. They beat vanilla ice cream by 20 points which included a nice 28 point 23 rebound effort by Gerhard Lauterbch.

6.(7) Jet Life

Jet Life beat the last place boston celtics by 20 points. Pabo Canaves scored 17 points in the win. They continue to look like the best 5-9 team out there. They've now won two games with their new owner.

7.(6) kalamazoo hurricanes

Just like most of the Big 8, the hurricanes got dominated by the Coal Miners. They lost by 64 and looked bad but as a 9-5 team there securaly locked into the 2nd spot.

8.(NR) macintosh

The Dolphins finally went under. With most of the rest of the league either being under a new manager or a non active won I went with macintosh. They have the leading scorer in Barkus Komskis and could be a few moves away from being a threat in Great 8 playoff races.

Game of the Week: Coal Miners @ Tenn. Stallions

This is the one game of the year against both number one teams. The Stallions have just one loss, from the Cincinnati Lakers, while the Miners are undefeated. Who will look better, Stephen Yates or Cristobal Sacristian Roy and who will have the inside track to finals HCA in ths potiental finals matchup.
