i haven't been talking about the team direction because i've had to defend myself because the first thing I did was start attacking others.

More accurate now.

Right. It seems everyone is being a bit more reasonable now. If you really have this experience and are so savvy will you be willing to become part of the "team" even if you don't win? That is what Leeroy did and he has worked his way up. If you really have so much to offer then surely you would want to helpus out.

It is great to finally read some of your plans instead of insults, silo1978. Having just read your post I must admit that you might be right about chosen offenses in the past but I think it is very easy to select games played and pick out the tactical discrepencies.

Your points on pace are valid but again, it is easy to make comments on games already played. It is harder, I would suggest, to get the tactics spot on initially. I have, in my time in BB (since Season 14) voted for Iwen and have never regretted that decision. I now place my vote in Leeroy not because he is part of the 'succession plan' which he is, but because I have played against him, read his comments on the forums these past seasons and ultimately, I KNOW WHO HE AND HIS TEAM ARE. I think it is this fact alone that, in my eyes, precludes you from being voted in. Until a few days ago, I had not heard of your team or seen you active in any Aussie forums anywhere. This is important and I think you have underestimated the importance of having 'earned' the respect of the Aussie community.

The Aussie community needs to give their support to an Aussie they know and respect. I mean no offense, but I neither know nor respect you.

Leeroy has my vote.

yeah you set team tactics at the start of the game iwen based on if you think your better, worse or the same as the other team.

As for my personal team. My tactics are spot on, the cattle aren't. i've made the final in Div III 4 of the last 5 seasons, but i like the league i'm in so i stay. If you look at the forums in our league its all very friendly and we dont have to deal with idiots. Infact, i think in one of the season we had this exact discussion.

NZ was an example of a tactical error. Hong Kong was a good win. I'm not saying you did a bad job, there's just differences in opinion based of what i've experienced in playing the game.

I dont really have any interest in being part of a succession plan. If i'm voted in it means you want my input in the team. I'll also help any other managers with their personal teams if they ask.

Also, in the final if you lost a key player to injury it would've been better to change the pace of the game.

The injury occurred during the game in the 3rd minute..... With Sargic available the Philippines, we would have most likely won the game. Shows that looking at the box score and criticising means nothing.

Our succession plan isn't about blocking out other managers. We've had it for almost 14 seasons now. It's about getting Aussies involved in the national team, with the hope that once they've done their contribution, they can take over the team and us "old timers" can relax knowing it's in good hands. Those who support the managers running the teams know the team better than someone from the outside. They helped mentor rookies and mould them for the team.

We love people getting involved in the National Team, unfortunately not enough do. Once you get more involved, especially offsite, I reckon you'll get more support in the future. As of now, most of the teams in the Fishbowl Private league and in the ABBL would lean towards Leeroy. That's over 40 votes right there (if people can be bothered voting).

With all that being said, I applaud the enthusiasm, and suggest you offer your services as a scout or talent mentor if you lose the election, rather than disappear for another few seasons.

ahhh, thats way different then. nothing you can do about that.

Why the hell dont you pony up again and finish what you started?

It seems like the power brokers here hate people they dont know, so even if i'm the best candidate, i wont win. That kind of stuff is kind of why i ran in the first place and broke my silence on the forums outside of my own league.

I'm done with national team management for a while. It requires a bit of work and after doing it for over a year now, it's time for change. My work for the U21 culminated in us getting Silver in the Asian Championships and qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in like 15 seasons? Though our team succeeding our previous team was woefully unequipped to tackle the world heavyweights.

Also, we don't hate people we don't know. Maybe you just announced yourself publicly the wrong way.

Agreed. However, you were using this to discredit Iwen's tactics not highlight your scouting prowess.

See this sort of annoys me a bit. You go on about how you dislike our succession plan, saying it is rigged and leaves no room for any outside manager. I've been involved in the U21 team for around 4 seasons, just at the end of mllama's reign. Mentoring young Aussies and being apart of the tactical discussion and along with Iwen, helped us to our first continental final since the beginning of the Aussie U21 squad. I believe I've proven myself as a competent manager on the representative scale, and it's all thanks to the "succession plan" we have in place. Scouting, training, tactics, enthusiasm were all things I learned throughout this process essentially preparing me to take on this role.

However, the part that grinds my gears is that you wish to take the top job without being a part of the Aussie community. Sure you have your league forums, but what can you honestly say you've done for the community? As many have stated in this thread, we've never seen you before, You just kind of popped out of nowhere. You say you began in season 3 (which I'm not doubting) why haven't we seen you around? I started this game in season 12, I just had the initiative and drive within this game to be involved.

After addressing all these points, what still gives you the opinion that you are the best candidate? Not personally attacking you or anything, it's just that some of your comments seem very cocky and with no credentials to back it up.

After eight seasons you are still in division III, after eight seasons both Iwen and I were in the ABBL.

Good to see that you have stopped insulting us.

I dont really have any interest in being part of a succession plan.

Translation: No I wont help the team even though I claim brilliant insights into the game. I am not a team player.

I know I should just let this go but for some reason your insulting Iwen, tremell and Leeroy has got my goat.

That's just a tad bit condescending.
