OT loss, damn.

Having a go at winning all 3 this week might mean I lose all 3.

So easily done

I will be full strength against you old mate ;)

Well I guess there is no use me even trying against your guys, is there?

Edit

Looks like our Kiwi loving friend Porirua has been quite active in the transfer market.

This looks a pretty tough league as there is many quality teams and potential "contenders" amongst us

Nah, happy for you to tank that one mate ;)

I don't know that those purchases will make Porirua a contender, unless they are sleepers :P

I turned the game off thinking they were no chance. Bad mistake

Pretty epic game between me and Crockers tonight, pretty lucky to get the win. Not sure whether Pitman will be regarded as having a good game for his efficient high scoring effort, or as a villan for this finish to regulation time in the game:

4 0:25 96 — 95 C. Flinders (H) brings the crowd to its feet with a powerful slam
4 0:25 96 — 95 E. Robustelli (A) is called for a shooting foul.
4 0:25 96 — 96 C. Flinders (H) sinks the free throw.
4 0:25 96 — 96 D. Woolnough (H) and C. Flinders (H) will swap positions on the court.
4 0:25 96 — 96 H. D'Ambrosio (H) will come off the bench to replace D. Woolnough (H) at PG.
4 0:25 96 — 96 Free throw missed by C. Flinders (H).
4 0:25 96 — 96 R. Málaga (A) grabs the defensive rebound.
4 0:02 96 — 96 M. Wayne (A) pulls up at the top of the key and takes a shot. Shot missed.
4 0:02 96 — 96 H. D'Ambrosio (H) grabs the defensive rebound.
4 0:00 96 — 96 V. Pitman (H) attempts a three-point shot from the wing
4 0:00 96 — 96 Y. Benghouzi (A) is called for a shooting foul.
4 0:00 96 — 96 Free throw missed by V. Pitman (H).
4 0:00 96 — 96 Free throw missed by V. Pitman (H).
4 0:00 96 — 96 B. Lu (H) comes into the game to replace H. D'Ambrosio (H) at PG.
4 0:00 96 — 96 Change at PF: D. Woolnough (H) in. C. Flinders (H) out.
4 0:00 96 — 96 V. Pitman (H) throws up a brick from the line.
4 0:00 96 — 96 End of period.

(You can imagine my cursing after the foul, and my celebrating after the FTs...)

Lucky?

Pretty scary how good your team might be if you werent playing a trainee 22 yo 102 K centre for 48 mins in the PG position.

Come finals your team will have incredible scope for improvement with just a couple of minor positional changes.

Plus you have a fairly big edge over the rest of us when it comes to managerial nous.

8 rounds of cross over games to begin next week.

Any predictions as to how many more wins or losses the Big 8 will have compared to the Great 8 at the end of these 8 rounds?

I dunno - looking at Wayne's numbers he's not exactly been a hindrance at PG. Who knows, it might be the long term spot for him!

Certainly getting a few points, rebounds and assists as a PG but ranks almost triple as a PF

Yeah, I think the ratings are a bit flawed in that they assume that he is also defending at PG. Which clearly he isn't.

Yes that is a flaw in the system.

Given his increasing salary you have definite "motive" to promote.

With both Motive and capability to promote you nearly have to be favourite.

Makes one wonder whether your only loss, was intentional so that you could fly under the radar a little bit
