I can't believe you have advanced 20 000 in the world rankings in one season! Congrats! I will be hoping we don't meet again in the cup this year :p

Thanks! It's been a fast progression...but I beat two teams in the cup before you beat me that were ranked high, my league is loaded with high ranked teams, so its been easy to make serious jumps when I am consistently playing teams ranked between 350 and 750 in the USA. Now that I am 386, I don't anticipate moving up nearly as fast, or much at all. Its going to be a lot tougher...but its been a fun ride so far! I just try to keep learning, and adding to my team whenever I can! Good luck to you the rest of the way!!

Yeah, that's the ticket . . . . feed his ego on that one . . . .

There have been allegations that Barry Bonds was consulted regarding team testing on Jason's team . . . but it could be rumor. I'm not saying . . .. I'm just sayin' . . . . .

Well, if you must know, its not just Barry Bonds that we consulted...We also consulted Brian Bosworth, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemmons, and your mom! :-)

Not sure if this breaks the no advertising for scrimmages rule, if it does feel free to delete.

Just had a kind of fun sounding idea for a kind of scrimmage tournament for D.IV and D.V teams out of the cup.

Would need at least 8 teams, 16 would be more fun.

I'd be willing to set it up, what I was thinking was that it would be highest ranking vs. lowest ranking in each round.(so no set bracket, it would be reworked each round.)

Home court would be determined at random-me flipping a coin:)

Anyone in D.IV or V would be welcome join and hopefully we could start it not this week but in 2 to 3 weeks.

If anyone else has any ideas they would be welcome.

I thought maybe if we could get multiple teams from each league (IV.10 for example) that we could scrimmage multiple teams from another league in the same week. Much to the format as events such as the ACC/BIG10 challenge. Something like that, with more than 2 leagues could have a tournament format.

I'm sure IV.10 could have multiple representatives, not sure if other leagues have enough active managers to challenge you guys.;)

I might have one other guy from my league I could get in on it.

I feel that I would have some trouble getting guys from my league to compete as well. Almost everyone but myself, and 4 or 5 others are legit contenders for the league title. So I doubt that those guys would take any scrimmage serious at all.

Yep, it's true that anyone participating would have to try to balance league goals with it, it would be kind of anticlimatic if all of the sudden in the final somebody had to play their subs due to minutes.

Through to the fourth round of the cup for the first time since season 4 (my first career in BB), and it looks like the run will end as I drew a tough D III team.

In the league, my defense continues to dominate everyone except the demotee--but then I TIE'd versus his normal, so that may change in the playoffs.

I'm trying to decide on whether to expand my stadium or save up some more for a new player who can score, but will upgrade or maintain my defense. On the TL, I can see the players I want and the Transfer Price Estimate range says I should be able to afford them, but the teams are asking for at least double that, more often than not triple the TPE. I don't understand how it is possible to get those low TPEs when I can't find examples currently on the TL.

Anyway, time to survey arenas again. I may start a thread for arena research in D IV if I have the time. I understand I'm currently selling out because of my long winning streak (essentially 34-2) that began last season. So direct comparisons need be made to other promotees who are currently doing well in D IV.

I got lucky too with a bot draw. However, I am kind of glad its on the road...I figure the more road bot teams I draw, just means the odds are to draw a home game next. So far, two home, and now two away. So hopefully if I draw a solid team in the next round, I will get that team at home.
