Hello to all who have spoken.

I think you are right. There are the big 4, the little 3 and the rest. One of the rest could easily be sitting on a fortune having saved for seasons and with millions in the bank but I don't know how I could really know that without spending a long time looking at their history. I do think that teams like Terry Bogard will be very dangerous one day. But here is a little snapshot of our league history.

Big 8 Position/Name/Season started
1 fumoffu platoon 12
2 zenigata gangs 11
3 dhods 16
4 aisteru.4ever 9
5 Baikinman 14
6 楽しい 11
7 小野 洋子 15
8 East Tokyo United 16

Great 8 Position/Name/Season started
1 Shikoku Otaku 13
2 Sapporo Fighters 13
3 Northern Kyushu Raman Kings 14
4 Kyoto Shogun 14
5 Terry Bogard 14
6 TeamJapan 12
7 haloteam123 16
8 Kokubunji Dodoscos 16

So teams like Shikoku Otaku and Sapporo Fighters are just one season up on Northern Kyushu Raman Kings and me. Once we build our arena our trainees come of age and we are ready to make a hard push I think we will narrow the game very rapidly. However maybe for the noodles it will be next season for me it will be at the soonest season 18. By then with luck Daisaku will be a $40,000 dominator and Noritada will not be far behind. I will still have Kurogane so will have 3 starters in place and be ready to add two big expensive imports to make a run at the JBBL. Long plan but my 3 key players are aged 26, 20 and 19 so there is no hurry.

This season just expect every 10 days to see another 1,000 seats added to Nijo Castle and hopefully a win over the Ramen Kings so we can take our place in 3rd spot.

Sheesh man, painting me as "the same as you" is a stretch. Sure, I came here in S14, but only for the last game of the season (which, by the way, was a beat down administered by YOU!) - and I picked up easily the worst team in II.1!
I regard this as being my 'second season'.

I love that we have a good rivalry happening! It's going to take more than a win over me - I'm now two games ahead of you (tho' Fumoffu's coming up!)!

Well... that sucked.
I expected to do a lil' better than that. I thought my bigs would have been clearer winners, and your guards would win the day overall.

Good game malice. I was expecting a closer game but the effect of home court altered the game result.

Sorry to disappoint!

Truth: I was expecting closer too. Have to go back to the drawing board!

It's difficult... my natural inclination is to want to compete NOW. Especially when I see teams making acquisitions that improve their rosters considerably.
But the reality is that I'm not ready - I think I'm still a season or two away from being a legitimate contender. It's so tough to stay away from higher-salary guys, and take the mid-level guys who'll simply keep my team ticking. But I'm trying!

Oh I will... but I'll enjoy it more with a semblance of a plan, and an idea as to how to maximize my opportunities. But as you say: bit of fun.

Great 8 by 6 points. Vuleta wins the 3pt shooting comp.

I agree. While I have my two "Imports" who are only to help for this season and then gone all of my real players I hope will be useful for at least 6 seasons. I am just adding to them one at a time. I already have the following:

PG Daisaku Kawaida Age 20 - will be strong next season and promotion standard at age 22.
SG Noritada Konoe Age 19 - My first ever draft pick, will be strong next season and hopefully good enough the season after.
SF Jotaro Kinjo Age 20 - will fall far behind but I hope can be backup standard with JS/1on1 training.
PF None.
C Tsumemasa Kurogane Age 26. $31,000 salary and has very good skills, 1 at proficient, 4 at prolific or higher.

So we are far far off but we hope that is 3 1/2 players of our promotion team already in place.

It is funny that there are only 4 local players in the All Stars. We were not liked as the better teams took the spots. We hope in the future Daisaku and Noritada can change that.
