I'm not making any demands or anything, I'm just wondering if you were still doing the report on div 3 rookie teams

One and Dones

1.West End Mudbugs(33219)
Fresh out of IV.3 and now 12-1 and #1 in III.3 it seems 3 is this teams lucky number. Currently riddled with injuries, but fighting through this team has a good starting lineup with balance, but missing a small forward and with no depth this team is toughing out in division III, but still have a game against the other #1 to come. HCA for conference playoffs is guaranteed, but throughout the playoffs will be difficult.

2.RUMpage(33290)
RUMpage promoted through bot cleanup, but did not let it faze them as they are now 9-4 and third in their conference. With an inside oriented team, a good trainee and some good depth, this team looks poised for the future, a playoff position is a lock and this team could make some noise come playoff time.

3.Yukon Golddiggers(33521)
A nice balanced roster with some depth and a great 20 year old Canadian trainee has led this team to 9-4 and second in their conference. Two seasons in IV.14 have helped this team develop into a great division III rookie team. making the semifinals in their first season looks like a guarantee, but going any further will be difficult.

4.grizzlybears(24827)
Two seasons in IV.8 and a bot cleanup promotion and this team still has high hopes and sit 8-5 and 4th in III.13. The team has picked up some strong inside players and a nice guard and are building for a successful run in this seasons playoffs, although im not sure they will get further then the first round, we will see though.

5.SlipperyWhenWet(25081)
This team spent three seasons in IV.13 where they built a roster that would be prepared to withstand division III and definitely came out successful. The team is 7-6 and third in their conference. With many young prospects this team looks poised to be a great team in the future. Were one of the final 64 teams in the cup last season and now are looking to make the playoffs in div III this season. They should become successful.

Vancouver Valleys(33286)
Vancouver Orcas(33328)

Just want to thank BBallin for all the hard work. I used to love the fact I was unmentioned and might surprise teams. Your write ups have destroyed that. LOL.

I wanted to add one comment to the notes on my team. I never should have been promoted to II.1 my team was still ranked in the mid 200's in canada and was no where near that level.

It might be interesting to have you compile a mid season top 10 of div. III teams(NCAA style).

I think the teams that promoted could also post their own updates - no point in leaving it all for bballin' to do!

Here's mine!

Fundamentally Sound

After a long struggle to promote out of Div III, Fundamentally Sound squeaked by Haaa! and the Iqualuit Test Icicles in the semis before a finals series that was a bit of a blow-out. Rent-a-player Jaak Kuuk, a 97k centre was quickly let go following the victory at a very slight loss, and the teams point guard for the previous several seasons, Michaelangelo Pisu was shown the door as well, as management deemed that that at 30 he was due for an imminent decline. Little was done by management to plug the holes aside from the acquisition of a 14k SG, Christopher Field for a paltry 150k. Rumour was, the bank account was empty, and fiscal responsiblity became the central tenet of the team's maanagement. The losses piled up in the early season as the club was clearly out-matched in Div II.4 (ie the division nobody bothers posting in.....). Luckily, the team was blessed with a rather easy Cup draw in the early going with numerous bots or low ranking Division IV teams. Adrian Alquezar, a 76k SG was picked up before the break to try and stop some of the bleeding, and the team now sits at 5-8, good enough (bad enough?) for 6th place in their conference. The middle of the pack is tight and the stretch run will be challenging. Unfortunately, FS drew Clodhoppers, a long-time denizen of Div II.4 in the cup this week. Pumped up on adrenaline, the boys managed to pull out a victory and advance to the round of 32. Facing Crash Test Dummies tonight, who despite being in Division III have 20k more in salary, Fundamentally Sound are hoping to advance to the sweet 16 for the first time.

Second Team:
Canada Purple Haze BC

III.7
The Shufflers(33951)
The Shufflers seem to be the favourites to promote this season.

FWIW
keep an eye on both the Quebec Pugs & Canadian Steamrollers
Pugs knocked off the other undefeated team in the other division last game
one of the 2 teams that you mention the Shufflers still must play
and the Pugs did knock off the Shufflers in the playoffs on the road last season
And something tells me that the Steamrollers have been playing possum
and will have some money to spend at playoff time
still Shufflers should have great enthusiasm for playoffs

Biggest game in the division this season
Steamrollers rolling out minor league line up and TIE and losing 114-38
to the Shufflers...Handing over a potential big tie breaker in PD
