After this second victory, we'll play the championship (of the loosers ^^) which can be an good objective for us team this season.

I'm glad to see that our OTYBP begin to bring some good players in U-21 even if the potential is not always there ... (sorry Joe ^^)

I hope that we'll have an easy group and when we'll know our adversary we'll begin to make the objectives of the season.

Tonight it’s our third match in the competitions that we can call the UEFA Cup of Buzzerbeater ; It’s not the big championship, not the big one, not the one that everybody look for and where the winner is the star BUT this championship is important because the best team of each continent will bring the next world championship in his country.

Tonight we know our adversary for the next 6 weeks, and our goal is to finish this championship in the top 32 to reach the next round.
This objective is possible because when we look at our agenda we can see that we’ll fight agaisnt a lot of team which have our level : Russia, Serbia, Venezuela, Japan. Those countries can be defeat and I wait a victory of my team against them.
After we have the Latvia… more difficult but we have the advantage to play against them during the last week of this first round and so we’ll know if we have to win or if we can lose to prepare the next round.
We have also a 6th adversary, the Vietnam… we’ll win 25-0 so I don’t speack of him but the fact that we play against him immediatly is a good thing.

The goal is so to go in the TOP 32 and why not in the TOP 16, we’ll see but this year I can see some progress in our players, the OTYBP begin to have an impact and a good one !!! But I must say that this year the Sraft was horrible in our country … what a lot of player who don’t have the potential to become a great player …. We’ll have to work 2 times more to bring something good in 3 seasons and I can already say that normally in 2 seasons our U-21 team will be efficient ;)

For the U-21 Team

the Vietnam… we’ll win 25-0

one can never be sure of that.

NT managers can be replaced for a few reasons, so it is best to check right before the game to see if theis was not the case to avoid possible surprises...

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

!!! Now serious things will begin !!!

It was our goal, reach the second part of this championship. We are now in the last 32th and we have the advantage for the first match because we'll play at home and against a team which is not really what we can call a "favourite".

We have a big team this year, we hope to win this match and after it will be only bonus. Our young players are always learning their job and we're ready to begin this second part.

Malaysia is over

For the first match in the second part of this competition, we received the Malaysia to play the 1/32. Our supporters were on fire and the match was more stressful than expected.

With a good begin, the Belgians players took a good advantage thanks to Geoffray Baert who scores 8 points and takes 8 rebonds in the first quarter to lead the Belgium to a score of 25-15 at the end of the first quarter.

But it was an evidence that the Malaysians won’t let the game to our team and the difference of motivation (TIE against CRUNCH) mades that the Malaysia stays at 10 points behind our team at the end of the half-time ( 50-40). Baert and Euvrard reach already the “double-double” in Points and Rebounds … I love them ^^.

For the second half, the Malaysians decide to try an other tactic: the 3-points shoot. And it was successful because they came back at 3 points of our team 12 minutes later. Baert was in fouls problem and we could feel it on the field. The suspense was there for the end of the game.

In the 4th quarter, when I was already at my 3rd box of “Valium”, a miracle happened… Euvrard try a 3-points shoot, my first reaction was “ I’LL KILL HIM” but he scores …. BINGOOOO!!! And there was a foul on the shoot … DUBBLE BINGOOOO!!!. 7 points lead and the Malaysians where disgusting. We controlled the game until the end to finally win 96-81.

A big thanks to de D. Euvrard (21 pts 19 rebs 5 blocks) and G. Baert (21pts 22 rebs 3 blocks for a beautiful 17 in evaluation) et and also for the 9 assist of our PG S. Van Quaquebeke.

Next week, it’s the Serbia, at home. We’ve already beat them this season so come on guys we can do it :)
