On the other hand, this is a basketball game, not a stock market game.

Hi, welcome back, that's why you need to do something more to reduce DT

imho is necessary a little bit more effort, this could be also "against" for everyone would like to buy a player for a single game (nothing against the winner of the BBB), so I vote for an higher taxation within the first month.

Then absolutely Ot, there are still some things to "adjust". Not good to see Dtraders but is worst to see teams in Ivth division training for the NT player with huge salary. Shot blocking is still a skill useless, I really hope you're testing the new tactics and at the end my merchandising is bugged

Coming back to DT, don't see the top teams, at the top level the competion is too high that everyone can ask a request of tpa and then, at the top level the DT cannot have an high % of influence in the economy cause the incomes are quite high, 500k earned in first division are not the same of 500k earned in the Vth division.

Maybe bot teams can be involved. If there would exist any precise mechanism, that player with prominent inside shot and rebounding will not go under 600k, bot with available cash could overbid player which bidded 500k, then gived that player on the market for 600k.
I mean this dirty job can be done automaticly, while depends on actual prices and skills how they are valuable...

Perhaps free agents can simply have their initial listing set higher than 1k. Perhaps set the initial price as the lower end of the TPE?

if you don't mind me asking, how many balls do you have in that section and what is your weekly merchandise profit and weekly average merchandise profit for your league?

I have 3 balls and Weekly Merchandise profit $ 39 305

Imo, I think they need to increase the merchandise for local and your drafted players. I think there need's to be more of a reward to train your own players. As the BB's have said they want to have several strategy's on having a successful team, so i think the answer is not to punish the day traders but to increase the advantage to the non traders, as the non day traders should have more local and drafted talent

My first point addresses your assessment of the top teams. Sure most of the top teams do not probably daytrade, but at the same time those teams have been around for very many seasons. The issue of daytrading more applies to those teams that are trying to move up quicker than probably possible without daytrading. It's not those that are ahead that try to work the system usually, but those that are behind. I find no relevance in that research personally because of those reasons.

Since people have the ability to choose their own price to start the auction out at, I think the liquidity of the market wouldn't be affected quite as much as you may think. I'm okay putting a player on the market as long as I can choose the lowest price I'm willing to take for him...therefore keeping the market liquid. Now, if you are saying that less transfers will happen because bargains will be harder to come by...then maybe, but that only leads to a more true and fair market, right? No matter what you do free agents will often times go as bargains and that can't be controlled, but it will reward those looking very thoroughly for players. I have benefited from free agents before, but also got overzealous and bought someone that didn't fit the roster all because I thought I was getting a fair price. Luckily I sold the guy and broke about even...only 2 or 3 weeks later. I paid the price.

Now no matter what ends up happening, I'm all for an idea that curbs daytrading. I do like the idea proposed that calls for newly acquired players to be taxed or resold for a lower percentage than the standard 79% or 80%. When people can make an easy 2-3 million in less than a week, then I think something needs to change. This will make people more sure when they buy on the market as well...and I'm including myself in this.

Anyway, just my two cents. Hope something is able to change. I do like the roster ideas earlier in the thread as well.
