TO management is much much much worse than the last minute management...

Are you sure? I've seen different Sub patterns & end of games with fouling, depending on the Level Coach I have.

Right is not a popularity contest!

But do you know what effect TO's have? Do teams get a slight bonus coming out of a time out? I don't see much improvement in shot selection coming out of a TO, so as far as I'm concerned, the AI can mismanage my TO's all it wants...just don't mess with bad calls in the final minute of a close game.

the first effect of a TO should be stop a bad moment of your offense,or a bad moment of your defence,in Rl you would never see some kind of scoring runs without a To called by a coach

I agree. That's how TO's are used in real life. But does anyone know if the same logic is applied in BB? Or is it just there for aesthetics? To make it seem like a real game, but there's nothing actually coded to give your team a boost. From my experience, I don't notice a difference.

Also, from what I have heard, the coach usually does tell the team to adapt defensively during timeouts - i.e., who to disregard on defense, and who to focus on. Similarly, he tells them who to get the ball to on offense more.

Plus, timeouts allow for lineup changes when there are no fouls or balls out of bounds.

Time outs often do end in a basket, in my case i always get a three point in my face if this happens.

It also allows the opponent, or yourself to change the line up, defensive tactics (my coach isnt doing that but hey)
It would be nice if my coach could make up my wrong dessisions but is isnt doing that.
While in real life my coach would prevent a mismatch my coach is looking at it and laughs his brains out....

So how smart is the AI?? guess as smart as the guy in front of the screen......

But: In real basketball you will never see a timeout 5 seconds into a quarter!
