Hi.

I think that this would be a good time to remind everyone that the forums are for the enjoyment of all users. I'm not asking everyone to like everyone, or even pretend to. But the sniping has got to stop. Please be considerate of the other users and make sure it stops, so that it doesn't have to be stopped for you.

Thank you.

Ah, miss the good ol' days of being able to read deleted messages. Thanks for the show you two. I for one find it very enjoyable.

Good luck next round Canada U21!

Pops update....

Week 1 - 10 players, 6 pops
Week 2 - 12 players, 6 pops
Week 3 - 12 players, 8 pops
Week 4 - 15 players, 9 pops
Week 5 - 16 players, 10 pops
Week 6 - 16 players, 12 pops
Week 7 - 16 players, 7 pops
Week 8 - 17 players, 11 pops

So a bit of a pick up after the slow week last week. Just a couple calculations

Total pops - 69
Av. Pops per week - 8.5
Av. pops per week/per player (over season) - 0.6

This week the trainer of the week is Scarborough Bluffs (33559) and his player Darryl Poole for the double pop, 9 game shape week...

In other news, game shape a bit of a struggle this week with only 5 players in 9 GS....would be great if everyone could really manage minutes tightly as most teams are out of cup and we need some good game shape updates!

Big game against Uruguay this week and Im heading to the off site to post some tactics for feedback!

GO CANADA!

Tough loss against Uruguay. Got to put some blame on myself as game engine didn't work out as I had hoped, led to some pretty terrible offense and the less enthusiam didn't help either. Will make the road to the semis a lot tougher going forward but I'm confident that our managers are getting better at understanding the importance of game shape to U21 and even to their own team. Training has been solid all season and I'm looking forward to the best possible minute management this week (every player between 55 - 65 minutes!) and some redemption for Team Canada.

No doubt you were undercut by GS
Newton Wilson was the man for Patient but he played too many minutes
his owner has used him in scrimmages and that's killed him
his minutes would have been in the 60's and his GS 8 or 9
Tough road ahead, good luck
Go Canada!

Week 2 - 12 players, 6 pops
Week 3 - 12 players, 8 pops
Week 4 - 15 players, 9 pops
Week 5 - 16 players, 10 pops
Week 6 - 16 players, 12 pops
Week 7 - 16 players, 7 pops
Week 8 - 17 players, 11 pops
Week 9 - 17 players, 6 pops

A bit of a dip in the pops, but hopefully the slow week means next week will be filled with some.
So a nice bounce back game against Peru and hopefully some more wins coming up.
Hoping everyone is closely looking at minutes this week and trying to get at least 50, but less than 70 with a full 48 in the training position! Good luck and go Canada!

Week 10 - 18 players, 6 pops

So still a bit of a dip this week again given the size of the squad...still hoping for a nice pop week tomorrow!
Also a nice win against DR this week but really tough games against USA and Venezuela coming up so be sure to keep the minutes in check. Go Canada!
