I've got no problem with the delayed Staff system, it's understandable with all the variables of a live game as you explained.

The update of progress was nice though, thanks.

personally, I'd say 6-8 hours downtime is acceptable from time to time when introducing a major new feature.

Provided it's scheduled correctly, I think most people would understand the reasoning behind it. Of course, the off season is the best time for this sort of thing, but any time where there is a minimal amount of actual game activity is also acceptable.

You could always mollify the masses with the manual for the new system.

I'm pretty sure that on the begging of season you know all changes that will be implemented, so my proposition would be, why don't you shut down the site for, let's say, one week in the off-season period and implement everything that you are planning to do, test it for confrontation, put out whats need to be put out immediately and freeze what needs to be put out after allstar week (make a backup of core system with those changes), and when everything works fine, open the site for public again. I'm not sure for other users, but for me that week off is absolutely acceptable. Probably there would be an issue with advertisements, but it's probably solvable.

It is not so important how high can someone jump, more important is who is the last one standing

Totally unacceptable for me. Don't forget that online games are based on the fact that users are addicts

I can see your point, but after just one week of waiting you'll get new and improved "drug"; that makes all worthwhile))

if this site goes down for one week the BB's will take the risk of having new users leaving for good.

It can be happens too if the changes in the game are so complicated like this. One week is no so many time. However, the users must aprove this proposal...

I wonder if the effect of the speciality is depending on the level of the staff, or if the effect is the same regardless of the overall skill.
