The problem I have seen in the NEWS section is that many of my competitors have been able to sell players for over 1.4 million dollars (crappy ones) and purchase players for that or higher levels.

Apparently, they're either not selling players that are this crappy, or not buying players that are this good, because the two can't work at the same time.

This causes an imbalance in the league and makes it very unlikely that no matter how much I "manage" my team if another team can purchase their way to the top, I will have no way of winning.

Purchasing the right players is quite clearly part of managing your team, so I don't see how you can manage without going on the transfer market.

Either way, you're supposed to raise money by training and selling players, not from your weekly profit. So if you can't do this, there's something you're not doing quite right.

Thanks LA,
After writing the first post I took the time to look at the other teams in the league in finer detail. It seems all but one has "paid their dues" by being in the game a number of years, so it makes sense they would have the money and the high priced players. Also they have been relegated out of III back to IV so it makes sense they should have more resources this time around. I need to be more patient and smarter and reading great threads like this one help me immensely. Thanks again.

we will see how many free agents will be put on the market but i believe the effect will be psychological rather than being on an economical basis.

Well, so it's a useless change? Don't you think that (crowd) psychology has a __real__ impact in a system that by the way is not that big? Last week some people were so confused that they did not move on the market, because they were not confident at all in any prediction. Players were sold at high prizes, but if you sell to improve your team, after a sale you want to buy. Then you have to face the fact that some players were extremely scarce on the market and expensive... so scarce that even one-two additional players of that level per week could change things.

While economy is not psychology, economic models does take in consideration some "psycological" effects. This will affect the expectations, that like the economist Robert Lucas noticed, play a very important role in aggregate behavior.

Let me give you a simple example of why you system is completly flawed , you have not considered that starting point of new clubs.

Whilst you say there is an increase in money, this is true during the game, week by week, even thoughit is not comparible to the amount players prices have increased.

Where it is not true is when you get a new team, you get the same $300,000 plus a few weekly extras. In simple terms , a new team used to be able to buy Average to Respectable ratings on players at the age of between 18 - 20, now we have to buy inept to average rated players as a starting point to build a team. This is because we can no linger afford the players like last season, surely you should have increased the amount of money given to start up teams upon signing up to your game to compensate for the massive growth in the market.

The only teams that can afford these prices are teams that have been in the game for a few seasons, yet they didnt start off with this disability we now have, players were cheaper back then.

You even recognis the problem by your new bulletin about bring retired players back into the market, this is to soak up money and try and spread the pricing over the market place. I feel you know ou have created an issue, but are yet to understand just how bad you have made it.

You will cost yourself new people signing up, as the game takes to long to truly become even a bottom ladder team in, you need to consider that people play this for fun, and even the startegic challenge, however, they dont want it to turn into a complete business operation to make it work, where we are playing catch up all the time to the teams that were here before, whilst naturally they would be more porgressed, you have created an even greater divide.

I also think you should consider that, none of the GM's are hurt by this action, they are all long establsihed teams with large financial pockets, but we are tyring to tell you that us smaller clubs are getting seriosuly hurt by the choices you have made.

Ciao Forrest, if you can answer, do you think the prices are decreased or increased since last month?
