I was reading the season 12 thread and there was a mention of divinedragons. He was in my D.IV league last season. Yeah Bumbul torched that league up as well. He didn't have a good supporting cast though.

ratings are based on game performance versus the skill itself.

you can have sensational jump shooters and rate mediocre in outside scoring

Season 13 - Matchday 1

Great 8

Prov City Investors @ 1Derz Bangerz was the first match of the day between one classic Great 8 team, and an ever improving young squad led by none other than their captain Gael Carmona. Bangerz were coming off a respectable finish in season 12, making the playoffs, and wanted to get off to a good start after starting slow but finishing strong last season. They did just that in a solid team performance with multiple assists and points coming from every position. They took the game 98-73. PCI used their usual conservative tactics of TIE against teams they feel are stronger at the moment, and even had Carmona sit as a backup to get him ready for their next match against No Potential who the Investors feel they have a better chance at beating.

The Illusion @ Chicago Goats is always a great rivaly matchup that fans were drooling over in anticipation during the offseason. Goats brought in a brand new pf/c in Francisco Candía in an attempt to give Patridge some assistance down low, and the two of them worked well together shooting a combined 20-34 with 50 pts and 40 rbs. Looking at the big men duo's stats in comparison to Illusions 32-91 shooting you would have guessed the Goats won easy, but their combined 10 turnovers held them back and the game went to Barr and Co. 96-85.

Roxas City Red Claws @ No Potential was a game that let two brand new teams to League III.4 shows us what they have. They looked pretty evenly matched for the first 3 quarters, but the 4th quarter revieled who actually does have some potential with an impressive 32-17 4th quarter domination. No Potential earned their 98-87 victory. Don't be decieved by their name, because these guys can play some ball.

Armaggedons @ Indiana Gavno was a high scoring thriller, but the victor was no surprise. Gavno 133-106. As usual Chow and Garnier dominated inside, and helped their team out-rebound Oconnell and crew by 54 rebounds. On a side note Gavno is attempting to sell these terrific bigs for the reason that I would assume salaries that have sky rocketed. The only thing that kept Armaggedons from feeling demoralized by the defeat was the 20 turnovers they forced on Gavno.

Big 8

E.C. High-Flyers @ San Diego Crusaders was a perfect example of the strength teams that have been in this league for a while gain compared to a newly promoted team. Three players on the Flyers squad recorded double-doubles led by Mario Mannu on a very efficient scoring night for the whole squad. The Crusaders will try to forget their math 1 result and be looking forward to up-coming games. Flyers 101-83.

Marrieta Magic @ Cleveland Crazys was a big 8 classic and also the last game many of Magic's players will play in this league. Maybe they shouldn't have left because the whole team finally seemed to gel in a tough fought 111-107 win. Phillip German battled admirably with a 41 pt effort but it wasnt enough to thwart the Magic.

Champaign @ TDX Dutchmen was an interesting matchup between a newly demoted team, and a team with 1 year in this league under their belt. Both teams were trying to get off to a good start, Dutchmen had 3 players with double-doubles (almost 4), but their efforts weren't enough against Champaign who want to promote back to Div II. Champaign 103-91.

Tachenko @ Red Terrors was another old versus new battle with a casual result. Mayagoitia's return was well anticipated and he led his team to an easy 93-77 victory. Both teams had a similar number of rebounds, but when one player has 20 of them you know that's a problem for the other teams guy guarding him.

The Nightly Notable goes to Clay Chow, the reigning MVP, for his disturbingly dominate performance with 46 pts, 20 rbs, and 8 ast.

I realized at the beginning my comments were way too long so I shortened them for the latter ones. It is actually quite fun doing these so look for more in the future. Leave me any comments on what you think I can do better.
