i think next season if we calamari stay the same out of 12 abbl fishbowl teams we will have 1 :(

i got no issue with someone starting a fishbowl federation

but i cant see how it is better than the forums we have here where any1 can join in

this is the opposite of a private boys club we are public for all 2 see & join in

& how much more active does our calamari fed need to be?

again tonight when i logged in since this morning there were posts in 4 threads and about 20 posts in total

on the other topic the more i think about it the more i think 2 uneven leagues is just a lot simpler

all the top 12 teams in the west

then the bottom 12 teams in the east

no need 4 and handicapping & 90% of peeps will be fine with it

I do like winning in the PL games. I like the community aspect as well, but I think there should be a way to level out the playing field, even if it is just a bit.

1. Re-Draft? - I'd have to say a re-draft is on the cards... Even though it may separate myself from the Calamari brethren. I do kind of feel like it would suck for those whom are in a sketchy federation at the moment, especially since a re-draft would bring life to all federations even if it possibly does slightly diminish the activity of the calamari.

It may mess with the Calamari as we do have "secrets" in the forums :P. But it shouldn't be much of a problem. And from I've gathered as being a recent inclusion into the "clique", everybody seems to be of a reasonable character and I honestly can't see anyone doing anything that shady considering the stigma that would be associated with such acts lol. Kind of like how we all now hate Skyhookz and Bainsy for rigging the bot promotion :P

2. MVP Voting? - Let's be honest doing any sort of "essays" is gonna be a pain in the ass and I'd probably hate to do it, But it does enhance the experience of the Private league and it's fair that if you wanna be in such a great private league, you should contribute. With that being said a roster like system would be the best way to go. I think a full review of every game might be much for some, so maybe just a selected few games each week in conjunction with 3-2-1's of every game. And maybe to make sure everybody pulls there weight we should make the finals a penalty round, where if anyone has had post-pone the MVP's due to personally commitments that they make up for it by reviewing a week in the finals. And maybe we should also vote on who's MVP was the poorest of the season and they have to do a full review of the Finals match, I'm sure this would encourage people to make the MVP's the best as possible so they don't have to do it again.

3. League Structure - Not to sure, but if there is a contraction then there should be a D'league like private league where those who missed out, want to join can play in and we allow a couple to promote/relegate others... Idk

4. Seeding of leagues/handicapping - I'd like to see the leagues mixed like this season, (I mean i did beat a couple ABBLer's. [Even if it was cause of injury :P]). And I'm not for the handicapping, the way I like to set up my team, missing a player would be like missing a leg, I doubt I'd be able to stand. I like what Axis said (I think it was him) maybe the higher leagues have to win be an amount? Like 20 points or something? But if we did that we'd have to have league tables made each week to go along with the MVP's.


If any of it doesn't make sense or anything my bad :/ But gold medal match is on soon :P

Hey guys,

Most might not know me but i have been trying really hard to get involved with th aussie community over the last season. I was allowed into the Calamari federation with the help of yodabig. I am extremely interested in doing anything i can to prove to you all that I belong to be here amongst all you guys. I am also wanting to join the PL you's have as I have heard about it for some time now.

Now after a solid 40 minutes of reading I have finally read all the posts here and am getting an understanding of what this is all about and how much you guys are into this. I could be the same if i get an opportunity. I read a couple of posts regarding meeting new teams and getting involved with them. I think I could be a bit of new blood in the active aussie community?

As for my team, well we all start with a crap team dont we. But i assure you I have grasped the fundamentals and basics of BuzzerBeater already. I did play 2 seasons prior to this account so my little history with this team i have can be slightly misleading. If you notice I have not been one of those teams to just waiste thier money on old players. I have built up my arena and will continue to do so, i have solid trainees and most importantly i have a plan in place. That all means didly sqaut i know compared to all yor amazing teams but its just some background info so you's know im not just any old noob.

Thats it for now i guess. Basically just wanted to say, im here if you want or need me. And im eager to continue and expand on my buzzerbeater journey,

We all know who you are! How could we not? Jump into the season 9 signup thread and declare your interest in there, that way it is all in 1 easy to spot location for whomever to manage!

You would be a great candidate i think, assuming there are spots open! currently looking to downsize from 36 to 24, but that plan could change with enuff interest!

The league is all about helping each other out and sharing tips and info to help teams promote and make Aus as a nation stronger.. I was thinking about it today, and i think of the 16 div 3 leagues, at least 6-7 teams leading the chase for promotion are teams in the Fishbowl! That is a great success for the PL!!
