Congrats to Vecx for winning the EBBL title and Gully for winning the title of 'red finals sacrifice'. Onwards to season 47...wait, what's this, a 63TSP 19 year old HoF C with the 16th pick in the season 46 draft???? And not too bad perimeter stats either, considering. Ok, I'll take that thank you BB gods :-)

If you thought there were many laughing at you back then, you should consider how many more are laughing at you after this post.

But since I'm an optimist, I like to see the glass half full. At least, unlike last season, you didn't have to pay for these players (of course you paid for scouting points, but don't want to burst your bubble). And hey, considering how bad the ones you bought were, it's unlikely these will be any worse in the skill department.

Didn't you have a draft like that many seasons ago?

He's not the first 48th pick HoF guy on my team, the other one was Spanish and a long, long time ago... Navarro. Actually, I just checked and Navarro was pick 47. Not sure who you are thinking of.

With no points invested, it's always gravy. Scouting 5/x 19yo is risky because even 5/5 19yos are probably not going to be great unless they have really something like 68 starting skills (well extremadabra did last season but he's homegrown so he probably scouted almost the entire draft). And if they are not going to be great then you may as well forego training altogether.

Before they introduced youth trainer and gym there may have been a case for high TSP 19yo with great starting secondaries, but now I think there is no argument, not with an extra season at a ridiculous training speed.
