Ok, I'll bite. I'm not angry at you for reporting a hard-to-find issue, it's the way your doing it that bothers me. Even now, you're writing long essays when I specifically stated that bug reports need to be concise!
And now, you're talking about a whole new issue here. An supposed issue which I knew nothing about until now, I'm afraid. While the game engine has not had any changes in a long time, we're working on changing that. First of all, I need hard data to support this theory that blank lineups perform better. Determining that would be a first step towards some changes. I'm sure you understand that we cannot make changes based just on your feeling.

I think that when Marin said "hard data", he was thinking about a list of games for a given player where a performed better in blank lineup than in a normal one.

It's a real bug and a known one for a long time. We always encourage experienced players to use "strictly follow..." until we fix the bug. We don not want to remove the option as the bug doesn't happen all the time and we believe new users would miss it.
