Maybe he had max ent.
He also played LI and you played base, one of the worst choices there is.
Your players hacked and hacked and he won the game on free throws and your poor substitutes.

It was a quite close game (even with your higher effort). Actually, you should except to win it by around 10, maybe even 15 points (with higher effort considered), but he got enough FTs to take this game. Just a bad luck with fouls, I guess.

What could be the explanation for what happened in the first quarter?4-24, It rarely happens even when the difference between two teams is huge. Moreover, I had enthusiasm and home advantage and played normal vs tie. Is it random?

According to pp100 without any luck involved the score should have been 112-99 (you losing) so there's nothing special in this game except the ratings that are a bit weird.
