Better game shape than last week. At least we have more 8 and 9 GS, hope is enough to get the fifth place!

too late

5th is almost automatic, however we have to close better that in the previous mandate, so another W is the minimum.

I did my best to keep my NT players in good game shape
I was really mad with Galvin's injury :(

you did a wonderful job Ebene. Your player were kept in great GS (apart of random, you cannot avoid it) and Galvin was "just" injured almost +3...

Hintse and others were treated in a silly way.

It was enough to be mathematically sure to fight just for the glory to have all players reaching the right minutes in the week

Last match of the season with Tounes is approaching, after it I will tell the "story of the season"

quite upset for today loss. for the second time, result does not reflect evaluations. However. 12/25 3pts made a lot of difference. I expected to outrebound them to compensate external attack, so m2m instead of 3-2. Result is a sad 6th place with 2 losses against Tounes against a target of 5th to 4th (stretched goal).

In next few days I will disclose my personal balanced scorecard. Meanwhile, I csn anticipate I am dissatisfied.

well it is a disappointment but not sure you could do better with the current team
some players are either good or just okay but overall the roster seems weak
I think the biggest flaw is the lack of a quality shooting guard

it is a precise analysis. Our big men are not great but passable (and we missed Galvin), guards are below par. Disappointment is because I was convinced to be able to do more (5th or 4th as said), although there was not much more to do (including dropped GS in the most critical moment of the season). But you know me enough to know that I aim as high as possible and .... well, am disappointed if I miss my goals.

Even if you failed your main goals, you couldn't do better. The roster is aging, the game shape was a problem all season long (except for Ebene's players) and as you already said we lack high level guards.

Anyway the results don't tell everything you've done this season: you first identified the problems of the NT roster and now you are trying to fix them. I'm really glad to be part of your staff.

without a major boost of young players growth -as soon as drafted- roster will be a problem to all African teams, so fixing it could be a great asset. A LOT of work to do here.

S23 Balance scorecard

As promised, after having taken some time to think, my scorecard for the season (rank 1=horrible, 3=sufficient, 5=very good). Keen on taking your comments and respond to your questions, if any.

RESULTS = 3
My staff knows that the minimum acceptable result was moving to round 2, actual goal was 5th place, stretched goal was any medal. We achieved the minimum goal, that's the reason for the ranking.

Unfortunately, the first round took the wrong way due to the loss against Tounes mots. Yes, a MOTS vs our normal. I couldn't play more than normal having to afford Al Maghrib and Senegal (2W), where Tounes decided to put its second round at risk by spending a lot of TS against us. It is a big pity, as team was in a good GS and better TS, and it was likely to win with same attitude. That L impacted also on second round, although choices couldn't have been different (probably).s I made my all-in against Senegal spending my TS with a MOTS, but bad GS and injury of Galvin affected result with a 78-92 L. Against Tounes I probably made a mistake not using a 3-2 instead of M2M, but I admit that after L against Senegal season was good only for a minimal adjustment in ranking.

A season with some bad luck, only 3W, I cannot be satisfied having thought possible to catch the medal.

TRAINING = 3
Not much satisfied. I will have to adjust this next season. Roster didn't change much, although I can see some impact of what I did in growth of new players. However, scouting system work only partially well. It is a matter of fact that scouting system can work only if well set since youth, so a priority for next season is to improve scouting since draft onwards. I have a big sense of urgency because of deskilling of our aged players, the majority of the roster. THe good news is that young players (a good draftee) could join the team in 3 seasons (my La Vella, 6th in Italian U20 ranking, could be part of this team!). So, draft well, train fast.

A big, special thank to Ebene for his commitment and responsiveness.

RANKING = 4
We gained 81st spot, up 7 compared to beginning of the season. A little, little satisfaction.

GAMEPLAN = 4
Not 5 because of second L against Tounes. We had a LOT of patience to build TS to be spent at the right moment.

Of course a big thank to my staff. Especially to the silent Mummo, my tactic, and to Cek6, my best scout.
