Nice and neat, no hard luck stories of teams getting the 7 wins and missing out on points difference.

Assuming its a 1 v 32, 2 v 31 type arrangement I would assume that I will get to play Boston Celtics who are the number 1 team from Italy.

How does it all work from here on in?

I believe that I am playing within the rules, do you not think that I am playing within the rules?

Ryder and Williams have been long term trainees of mine and their salary efficiency enabled me to build a team around them that won last seasons ABBL championship

I sold my 3rd trainee in Palmeri to finance the rebuild of that team with the aim of having a full on go at winning B3

How is your weekly budget ?
How much money are u loosing par week?
How many season can u play with ur current roster ?
I can play for 10 season with my current roster.... this is playing the right way........can u do that? I think no

You are playing within the rules, no doubt , but u are trying to win B3 in the easy way not the better way.

Nicely worded response that you wrote (plus 1)

playing roster is just under 1.538 mill
with over extension tax, im losing just over a mill per week (not including prize money)
6 weeks is all that I can afford to keep my current roster, however I am hopeful that I will be able to afford to hang on to my core 6 players after the tournament is over and might be able to regroup for another tilt at B3 possibly next season.

Apart from the 3 add on 200 K plus players who i traded in for 3 long term salary efficient players, my team is essentially the same as it was at this time last season

Ryder & Williams I have trained for the last 7 or 8 seasons.

I believed it wouldnt have been good for the Aussie community for me to be dominant there for the next 6 or 7 seasons and in a season or twos time I want to get another group of young Aussie trainees and repeat the process of spending 7 or so seasons training them to become world beaters.

playing properly for me I believe involves training up a core group of players and as this invariably means that you cant be competitve for 5 or 6 seasons, I hope that you can forgive me for being over competitive when the opportunity arrives.

sorry for barging in on the conversation..but i don't think that there is a defined better or a worse way to manage ones team.whats good strategy for one manager might be termed as 'easier way' by another manager.
you say that your way is good because you can sustain your roster for a longer duration.ok in your terms that is acceptable but if you think that someone who is is negative income is playing the 'easy way' then that is not acceptable.both have their pros and cons and any manager who chooses either of the two ways has to live with the consequences as well.
take my team for an example,i had a 350k roster for 5 seasons while I was tanking(not that I wasn't competitive at that time) and was making around 400k per week.the end result is in front of you.i have a pretty strong squad and a good amount of money as well.that was a good strategy for me.but for those who are against tanking would criticize me for taking an 'easy' way.

Yeah, but I'd have spanked your bottom with an all English sustainable team, if I'd have been seeded 9 instead of 10, so you'd still have been knocked out, and by a 'purer' team.
Nobody but me gave me the target of winning b3 with an all-English team, so why on earth would I try and claim some false moral higher ground for doing so?

Everybody complain that the game engine is not realist and then ( some peoples) tanking and have "irrealist " team.

Tanking is a " strategy" :? pay very well...and ,of course, is a "easy way" to get money.....do u think not play for several seasons and get a lot of money is a good thing? This is , or maybe, should be a manager game....u should grow up your young players, try to improve your team, selling and buying players , things like that.

Talking of B3, you say that any manager who chooses either of the two ways has to live with the consequences ...... if i lose B3 games vs Sid Vicious nothing change for me....but if Sid lose ( it's impossible ok...but just un example ) what are the consequences ? Where is his risk? Nothing risk because he's going to sell or fire 200K monster......and trying new road to win B3 next season? Isn't an easy way?

It's not a Sid Vicious fault, BB allow this "irrealistic" way to win.......maybe managers like me are a bit stupid.
