I hear what you are saying but it comes down to stamina penalties.
Say you have a PG who starts and has 18 OD and 17 passing, after 10 straight minutes of game time he no longer has those skill levels. So one of those back ups coming in for as little as 2 minutes so our starter can refresh is huge. In that last game there were like 3 times when the other teams back up came in with fresh legs and burnt one of our tired starters.(Yes, I was the only dude from Japan in the chat during game time) This has nothing to do with Maeda, it has to do with starters playing 40 minutes or more. Not even with 9 stamina, a player can't be effective for that amount of time. Running 8 guys is cool on the club level, but you need more for the NT, most NT's run 10 with two reserves, not 8 with 4 reserves. No NT has back ups as good as starters, but isn't that what a back up is, a guy to give the starter rest?
I know we all love our guys and think they're the best and should get more playing time. Hell, I would love to put Takabe in there but I know he's not ready yet and would drag the team down.
TBH, I could care less if Maeda is getting run on the NT, I am building him for my team, and next season he will be getting B3 experience so that will take front seat. I just don't want to see the NT team manager overlooking something as important as STAMINA PENALITES. I have seen Torii skills, and I am sure he could give Matsumoto a breather every quarter with out hurting the team.
